@@CJMINDMATTER Oh it will. TFP are notoriously anti-fun and petty. They'll see that everyone is bypassing the collectors by using the purifier mod, so they'll either outright remove it or make it so prohibitively expensive that it's impossible to reasonably obtain until several weeks into a world.
The glass jars and aluminum cans aren't to bad you can also always use a mod to add them back. I played the game back on playstation in 2016 so when I played it on pc in 2018 was a big change, but I can't wait for bandits and things.
@@CJMINDMATTER well im a little too dumb for mods with this game i tried ince and it didnt work. It sounds silly but the jars were one if my favorite parts of the game. The fact that you could make your own jars, and it was kinda nice for me to not have it be so tedious to get a drink. Even if they made it harder to get clean water rather than just eleminate the jars. It just makes no sense. The devs clearly have a certain way they want the game to be played. Oh and now i hear you cant even throw spears!? Why? Why why why? Make it a setting for fu(# sake! Even if a game is unrealistic i still want just a tiny bit of logic to it. I wouldnt be surprised if they take away the ability do dig. I was excited for bandits too but at this point ive just moved on to prodject zomboid. Its such a good game i dont even moss the fact that there is no digging. And its made to be modded. Just a few click and your modded out. 🥳
@@codygreen2804 Completely Agree, when I first heard they were removing jars I was upset. then I heard about the aluminum cans removed really upset me too. I use to smelt the cans down. I try to play games without mods, but it seems that might be what we'll need to do sadly. To be honest there fixed could literally be them completely doing a overhaul on the water physics and everything of the game involving water. to just get rid of jars and cans just to make it easier on them is shameful. I'm assuming if we bring awareness big enough they'll revisit it eventually. But I'm not going to try and let them ruin it for me. Also I played Project Zomboid on PlayStation when it first came out I'll have to check it out.
I didnt realize the cans were gone too 😠 gosh. Im not trying to be negative, ive just see alot of people not happy with the way the devs have taken the game. I have played sense alpha 14. This game is what got me into gaming. Just hoping if i cry about it enough the devs will listen. 😂 I love playing with mods but not when its to fix the game like in this case, but with your water tip inmight try it out again so thanks! Prodject zomboid is the shit though once you get use to it. It kinda took over my life for while. And the mods are sooo goodly.
As to your anger against some higher authority outside of yourself, imposing something on you that you cannot control...you simply need to learn how to change and do things yourself, rather than being a completely passive victim of circumstances or other people. Such as learning how to install mods into your own games, and not thinking of any variety of victimization mindsets such as you being "too dumb" to learn how to install mods. That's nonsense...lol. 7 days to die gameplay requires much more intelligence and brain cells than just copying and pasting a single mod folder. Fun pimps are just normal people who constantly make mistakes. Don't expect others around you to be 100% perfect all the time. You would make mistakes too if you were a game developer yourself...and we happen to live in a society where every slightest mistake is picked on and judged mercilessly by everyone, everyone who is not perfect themselves. You get the idea. Haha.

The devs are actively working to push away their player base by removing player devised methods to overcome problems caused by the devs because they dont like how we outsmart them....this is why im still playing previous alphas and not on alpha 21
You're missing out. It's much improved over A20. It looks much better, runs better, and just feels better. The water situation is overblown. Other than the first day or two, at least until you find or buy a cooking pot, it can be a problem, but after that point, staying hydrated should be trivial. Multiple dew collectors help a lot (I have 9 now - I've had more, but this seems like a pretty good amount - I have like 300+ spare glue on day 31-ish).
This isn't really a problem so much as water for crafting. The sheer amount of glue/duct tape you need means you need a constant flow of water from dew collectors. There's no easy way that I know of to batch produce clean water.
kinda awkward this came up on my main page when scrolling youtube. i mean i know i watch alot of 7 days to die content but never watched one of your videos. but anyway can confirm for those who want to know. this still works in the latest Experimental 1.0 Update which also means unless they change it. it should work for the real 1.0 release including console release for those who will be playing on console

I haven't yet upgraded to the latest alpha release (21.2 B30), so I can't comment on whether or not it was changed for that one. Edit 2: It's working like a charm with 21.2 b30. Super handy to have at the base to be able to top off water (or drink so much you have the water stamina buff for multiple minutes).
I have one get a quest say like find the satchel, clear out poi but instead of picking up satchel quit the game then start the game again and all the lot reappears including the quest sign.
I tried this. this cube does not collect water like it's supposed to 😅it falls out like Minecraft water does ....i was sad. i guess I'll have to make a little pond or tub in the ground for it to work
I tried to do a water bassin some patches ago and it didn't let me place the water. Does the block have to be upgraded or can water only be placed on a selected set of blocks?
Are you using controller or moues and keyboard. With mouse and keyboard its the same button you use to pick up the water which is either right click or left click
Cute but useless. Water is already easy to get as it is without the filter and a bucket. You can get a surplus of 50 within first week without trying hard leaving you plenty to make glue.
