Hey, fellow Blender 3.0 users! Have you noticed how the face orientation overlays are super bright and distracting? Or had those pesky incorrect normals messing up your projects? Yeah, me too.
That's why I decided to make this video, where we'll work together to tweak those neon blue and red overlays and make them less of an eyesore. Plus, it will also make it much simpler to avoid wrong normals.
In this video, we'll walk through the process step by step. It's not about outsmarting Blender - it's about making Blender a friendlier place for our creativity.
So, if you're fed up with squinting at your screen or second-guessing your normals, this video might just be what you need. Let's dive in, explore this helpful trick, and make our Blender experience better together.
And hey, if you find this video helpful, feel free to like, share, and subscribe. You'll be part of a community that's learning and growing together. Let's create something awesome!"
Remember to tweak this to match your personal style and the exact content of your video.

very useful tip! thank you for sharing it as a quick video. I love your long tutorials, but having some short ones like this one so we can visualise them quickly in a coffee break is also much appreciated

Hello, iMesh! Your videos are amazing, and I was wondering if you would be willing to help me. Have you ever designed neighborhoods by any chance? I've been trying to have mine recreated into a photorealistic VR game.

this is very smart, I never used Blender before 2.8 but always struggled with how face orientation works. thanks for the video.

useful tip, although i think you went extreme, i like the high contrast of the default, and i have the face orientation on my quick tools 'q' for quick access. but thanks to the tip, i might just turn down the opacity a bit down.

Yeah I totally go the other extreme. I've got so used to that colour that I can easily spot it so it's no bother. Definitely find what works best for you! Just nice to know this Feature exists

I use shift+X to toggle between showing and hiding normals in viewport. It isn't inconvenient.

I agree but the colours are terrible when you can have them on all the time instead and not interfere with your work

Thank you for this!! As someone who does remember 2.79, just having to activate this overlay has been really annoying!

I just have one of the side buttons on my mouse assigned to show the normals whenever I want, works for me.
