For both chrome os or chrome os flex, you can unlock your device using a simple pin code instead of a password. Fast and handy for people who are used to pin sign in, and it's easy to set up too!
Man that is such a pain in the assneck, I installed flex os in my old surface 3 and discovered this problem myself, I'll have to change my password to something very simple or just throw away this junk
Thank you for this video! This explains why I could not get it working - I tried to use the PIN after reboot. Too bad that is does not work like that. Must send feedback to Google.
For a higher security I have a very complicated password, so every time I start the fukin´ chromebook I have tot type it in... this is only on older chromebooks though, my newer chromebook I can start with PIN... Google sucks...
. watched your video to bring up the pin screen for the password box to login. But I don't have settings button when I click at the bottom of screen on the clock No settings symbol
Sadly this too does not work on my installation... Only my account password unlocks the laptop... No pin or Smart Lock available even when they're turned on in Settings
