Im using the straight PCI port on the back with the special band cable. It works really well

@theit-unicorn1873 I do have Raspberry PI 3 & 4 but not 5. I am currently been using the PI with an ALLO DAC with MOODE APP as music player into AV system.

Hes so right. Im running my Pi 5 off a Crusiacl NVME SSD on its own hat and its own fan above on a hat. 1200mb/s read writes. in Kali Linux

@@theit-unicorn1873 I honestly didnt believe it at first. Using hdparm it flucuates as it does so ran it a few times 900-1200. sudo apt install hdparm. Kali runs great on a pi 4 or 5

@@theit-unicorn1873 Not sure why some folks think theyre expensive. Just got a second 5 for the hell of it 8GB RAM 79$ at micro center. They run a long time. My 4B with 8GB still works perfectly. It's mi pi-hole and runs24/7. Blocks Ads. I can ssh into it from my iphone using Termius. I can do Nmap scans from my iphone on the road SSH'd into my old Pi4. So fucking cool. Im a construction guy just trying to learn everything.

USB 3.0 isnt as fast bro. Ive tried it all. Still works well but wthout like a Pimoroni NVMe hat. you gotta set that up. It really works
