My dad just bought me a liter of Coke today. I picked it because of how good it tasted with ice last night at a pizza diner. Thank you so much CocaCola for making this soda for the world! I love the pictures like the sunglasses by the way. Keep up the good work!
The recipe: Fluid extract of Coca: 3 drams USP Citric acid: 3 oz Caffeine: 1 oz Sugar: 30 (unclear quantity) Water: 2.5 gal Lime juice: 2 pints, 1 quart Vanilla: 1 oz Caramel: 1.5 oz or more for color The secret 7X flavor (use 2 oz of flavor to 5 gals syrup): Alcohol: 8 oz Orange oil: 20 drops Lemon oil: 30 drops Nutmeg oil: 10 drops Coriander: 5 drops Neroli: 10 drops Cinnamon: 10 drops
The ingredients for making a cola are vanilla, caramel flavor, sugar, and lime/lemon juice. Add to seltzer water. Try it at home, close your eyes and enjoy home-made cola without any mutant high fructose corn syrup.
@enerams Coca Cola does not contain caramel. It contains caramel color, which is a very different ingredient; caramel color is a name that alludes to the widely known dark amber hue that results from the breaking down of sucrose at high temperatures.
I'd like to teach the world to sing In perfect harmony I'd like to hold it in my arms And keep it company I'd like to see the world for once All standing hand in hand And hear them echo through the hills For peace throughout the land Put your hand in my hand Let's begin today Put your hand in my hand Help me find the way
@Landotter1 Back in the 1880s when Dr. Pemberton came up with the formula, cola nut extract was used to flavor medicines, which makes sense, since he was a pharmacist by trade. Today, the cola plant is probably only used for soda pop!
LOVE it. Gosh, in the next two years when I graduate with my Bachelor's in Marketing, it looks like I'll be entering a very fun and intriguing field... :)
@GravityGraphics not exactly, it says the basic ingredients, but notice how it says "Natural Flavors" instead of specifying it, those are the secret ingredients
@Landotter1 also, when people became dependent on the cocaine, The derivative we know now as caffine was found as a alternative to cocaine by giving the same good affect's with less of the dependency and bad effect's. So like oxycotin is to herion. Caffine is to cocaine.
Secrets of the vid in order: 1.Twitter account: Doc Pemberton 2. Doc Pemberton med notes (very interesting stuffs here!) 3. Coke safe "Security footage" (verrrrry creepy near end ) 4. Coke "Crammer Keeper" ( allows you to turn any kind of notes you have into catchy songs....try it out!!!) 5. Coke "Smileizer" (basically allow you to listen to many people laughing. You can even make your own! ) 6. Finally "The perfect serve," (which i couldn't get to for some reason...) and there you have it!!!
@mikethemikeonair Yep, the secret ingredients are within that "natural flavors" description. We know that cola nut extract has to be one of those. I'm sure there are others; maybe a combination of spices and other natural plant extracts, etc. but I can't make a good guess at what they are!
For those who want to know, the vault is in bank in downtown Atlanta. If only I could remember it's name....I think SunTrust or some other bank that starts with an 'C' or 'S'....
I know one secret I was told by a coke syrup tanker driver while talking on the CB. The syrup has to be mixed with the rest of the ingredients at a precise temperature. I believe it was 79 degrees.
@GravityGraphics Oh contray you might have the ingredients but theres one missing. FDA approved it in the 60's for copyright infringement. Thats why Pepsi tastes different then coke.
I'd like to see the world for once All standing hand in hand And hear them echo through the hills For peace throughout the land Put your hand in my hand Let's begin today Put your hand in my hand Help me find the way
i don't know all the commercial but i can name a few. 0:33-Mean Joe coke commercial 0:45-"Friends or character commercial. (IDK what name) 0:56- grand Theft Auto commerial 0:57-The 2 man secreat formula
Phosphoric Acid is the main ingredient! Perfect for cleaning car battery terminals with, or donate it to the highway patrol so they can use it to clean blood stains off the highway. It's the reason I don't drink the stuff anymore. Hard to imagine what all that phosphoric acid does to your insides!
@FayeSkye Beacause they dont have to list all the materials , and thats why we CANT just look at the bottle, also notice in the video how theres person 1 and 2, yeah thats beacause theres only 2 people who know the formula.
@theyootubepoopfan Not all of them. Just the ones required by the FDA to be put on there. There is a secret recipe that includes more ingredients and amounts. The original Coke didn't even have as much crap as it does today, although the first line did have cocaine in it.
@Asinglefrito they use coca leaves and Because cocaine is naturally present in coca leaves, today's Coca-Cola uses "spent," or treated, coca leaves, those that have been through a cocaine extraction process, to flavor the beverage.
The product still contains coca extracts just no alkaloids. 7X is the "secret ingredient". I think 7X is an Orange oil. Today most of the sweetener is corn sugar, not cane sugar.
The success of the company is actually almost entirely due to an incredibly smart move the company made in the early forties which allowed every armed service member to get a Coke for a nickel, wherever they were, regardless of the cost to the company. They lost money at the time but it paid off in incredible customer loyalty that's still going strong today. By the way, if anyone from the Coca-Cola company sees this, I for one would buy a cane sugar Coca-Cola daily. I love coke, not corn syrup.
dear cocacolaco, if you read this than can you please do a contest where you can win your choice of the entire call of duty series or the entire halo series by teaming up with bungie and infinity ward and makeing a huge batlle of which is better by haveing a halo lable on some cokes and c.o.d. lable on other cokes and if you are lucky than you get the video games from that series and whichever lable getrs bought the most wins, gamers and coke lovers will love it! please respond
Coca-Cola is definitely the most successful refreshment company in history. My favorite cola is coca cola. My favorite lemon lime soda is sprite. My favorite bottled water is dasani. Completely unbelievable.
@NessaLoveWoahxP right. They don't put coccaine in their drinks anymore, they just have a "secret formula". =P actually it'd be more addictive if there was even a tiny amount of coke in it. Wasn't it addictive when they had it in their drinks before? I thought they got in trouble because of that... I'm afraid to check wikipedia. lol
I hope you guys enjoy the video! Oh and do you still make the Santa Clauses that are holding a coke classic bottle? Those little guys are awesome! You guys are doing a great job! The song for the World Cup was great! Are you going to be doing anything for the Rugby World Cup?! Have a great day! Laters
hint: each time a bottle with a key hole on appears (top right) click it, each ones leads somewhere different. more secrets with each key hole bottle. :-) enjoy
@CocaColaCo You aren't listening. Look, when my comment was posted, I went to the the "World of Coke" museum hours before it was posted and found out the formula which is nothing but water and syrup. Therefore, i don't need to because i already know that it's just the solution of water and syrup.
@22teh22 that is true when cocain first came to the united states eveverybody had it then when it was banned coke took it out but there still was some people that had it in there they just put it in there
Dear Coke, I went to the World of Coke in Atlanta, Ga ... Please discontinue Beverly. Thanks, Biggest Coke Fan Ever (P.S I'm glad I live in Georgia cause I might work for Coke :) )
I feel like I now have a quest in life, and when I find out the secret I'll prove it to CocaCola, and ask in return for me not spreading the secret, an original large Coke at its best prime, and then a freshly brewed and nearly frozen Coke. :) *SssssT~!* *gulp gulp gulp* ahhhh...... refreshing and delicious as always. Thanks Doc!
@GoArmy2456: Sorry love: It's a known historical fact that cocaine was put in Coca Cola in the past, when cocaine was believed to have medical purposes; it's addictive purposes was just an added benefit that "hooked" consumers. Officially Coca Cola manufacturers have never overtly denied this, and though they have never admitted to it; one must use some degree of common sense in assessing the situation. If they had not used cocaine then they would indeed overtly deny such a claim!
to unlock the ingredients to Coca Cola, take an epic journey to Wal Mart, go to the soft drink isle, look for Coca Cola, turn it around to the nutrition facts. Under the nutrition facts will be the ingredients. Take a pencil and paper and write it down. The secret ingredient is the satisfaction of taking the journey all the way there and making it yourself. (Sweat and Determination) Don't think it's love, because if you did try to make the Cola out of love, it will end up tasting similar...
@YukkiHabiki true story. jones soda is also made with pure cane sugar. it seems "profit over people" is once again the motivating factor for these people. hfcs is widely known to contain mercury in many products that use it. why? maybe because it's made from GMO frankencorn.... post that, COMMENT CHECKER!!
The medical file says, " April 1865 Patient: John Stith Pemberson Columbus, GA. Injury: Damage in cartilage surrounding the knee area caused by shrapnel. Patient is exhausted and dehydrated. Complain in deep and dire need of something ice cold and refreshing. With bubble, oh the delicious bubbles. He continues on at length about a taste you never get tired of that will be smarter than a tongue's taste buds. Then he asked for something for called a corndog. Patient reports fantastical visions
@Hopeofmen not to mention a ninja, a doberman, and a robot. and its been rumored that if you watch the "security footage," you can see Doc pemberton's ghost...spooooky.
