This may be why I never finish a painting. There's no perfection only more chances at failure. I can either fail and be miserable or fail into happiness. I just paint then forget and the memories I have are the dust particals gathered on my "art" that's tucked in the corner only to be viewed when the house mice ramble about in the wee hours of the night and scurry past the paint laid across canvas from years past.

first, love that this reads like poetry. second, I completely get it! I used to do this too. whenever I finish a piece I like, I try to find a space in my home for it (so I can keep enjoying it after it's done)
