I think Kip Kays fans are really ungreatful. They bitch about how he wants to make money by selling kits. OF COURSE HE NEEDS MONEY. We all do and KipKay has a great way of doing so. He (I hope) likes doing cool hacks and contraptions and we can have fun building them with the help of his kits and instructions. This is 100 times better than office job. Seriously. This isn't some evil robbery.

Why do people like this so much? Your door to your HOME is protected by Popsicle sticks? I would never let my door be secured with little breakable wood sticks.
doesn't have to be to your front door man. its for anything with a deadbolt lock. you could put it on your back door or some other door in case your forgot your key for instance.
The materials he used to make this have no bearing on what the device does. He could have made the thing out of titanium plating and it would function the same as the "little breakable wood sticks".
I think this is awesome! I would build this for my kid's play house. That's a neat idea for a secret club that only "members" can get in. Good job, Kip!

Kip Kay I have 2 cats who enjoy my front porch problem is I leave the door slightly open and the cats open the door and sometimes open it all the way open . Unfortunately I sometimes do not know when they opened it up . It's killing my ac bill here in Florida. What I would love to have is a robot that will close the door to the specified closure I want yet allow my cats to open it and go out . I would love to see what you would come up with if even it's a project you would be interested in kinda of a robotic butler that keeps the door closed . Ok now this is asking way too much but maybe short range motion sensors and it opens and closes the door all the way kinda like the auto lift gates some cars have . Love your channel keep up the cool gadgets.
I'm learning how to solder circuits and this is great but there's also a store to help u get a circuit ressisters and more it's called frys electronics
