I stumbled across this podcast and began listening because I am intrigued by effective communicators. BUT… When you said, “We love JESUS over here”, I was sucked in.
Today is 20/07/2024 and I came across this podcast I immediately clicked on it to watch and listen in on effective communication is connection. I truly enjoyed it
Jesus is all in my algorithm. I am so grateful for this interview. 🙌🏾💎❤️ Bulelwa is stealthy in her being because you just know her being is in Christ! I will be looking for her body of work. I love her confidence. I would've loved to hear more from her.
My issue is that I have an accent (that I’m self conscious of because people call it out) and I talk faster than my brain sometimes but then when I try to slow down, I overthink my words and end up bumbling.
Same issue. Learning to push pass the inner critic is difficult and I am learning slowly to push through the intrusive thoughts and even the fumbling of words. One day at a time. Don't rush to get over. Examine what you are learning about yourself as you struggle through
Accent is the most irrelevant thing when coming to being an exceptional speaker but I know it’s probably hard to not criticise yourself, especially if people bring it up. Pay no mind to such stupid people, I need you to actually embrace your accent. You already have a story to tell and hopefully one day you’ll use your story to impact others who faced the same situation cause it’s a lot. I have an accent too, English is not my first language so Ofcourse I’ll have an accent! Keep practicing on the mirror and taking videos of yourself and start uploading them online . You get good by practicing so don’t expect to be perfect out the gate . Practice a lot and read a lot to enhance your vocabulary .
I like how you have identified the problem, I am calling it a problem because it is making you uncomfortable, it's not a biggy, invest your time in doing what is required and will make you comfortable 🥰❤️
Embrace your accent, your culture, it’s part of you, your beauty. Be quick to think and slow to speak, try taking a deep breath before speaking, pray in Jesus Christ name. God got you! 💕✝️

My daughter use to live in Nairobi, so I love the phrase Kenya is the land of winners. Which makes me the grandma of a winner. God is good. I came across this as I was about to watch a series. I believe one day I will come and speak to the youth of Kenya about loving yourself.

That "one day" in the distant future could always be fast tracked into the near future. Think about it, pray about it! Thank God for technology and the ability to bend time, and space, synergies can always be cultivated toward any outcome.

I absolutely loved the conversation👏. The exercise about writing down your thoughts is fantastic, and I completely agree with not masking negative thoughts with affirmations. It's important to examine our thoughts so that we can address the underlying issues and replace them with God's word. This is wonderful! Your clarity on articulation, VOLUME!!
I love this interview, I always want to do a RU-vid but honestly I am ashamed of hearing my own voice. To me I dnt sound good but listening this podcast gives me courage.
Omg I feel the same. Like I’ve been wanting to start my channel for a while now but I’m lacking the confidence and motivation. I would make a video just to watch and when I hear my voice I’m like eww lol lol but hey one day we will be more bold and courageous .
I always watch the podcast and I love it, this episode was particularly helpful for me as someone who is building up a resume as a speaker. I have an MC'ING gig booked for the end of September and I will be using the tools Bulelwa gave us to prepare myself for that day. This has definitely been a free master class for me

😂 That part about Moses. It's powerful: two women come together to speak about God. You mentioned altar egos...There's no difference between acting and singing in my observation because in acting your soul needs to be in that character which makes acting much more demonic than music in my opinion if now a persons soul needs to transfer into something that it's not. Watching creepy movies is also another way for the spirit in the movie to enter a Christians. Love is truly blind as you ladies ❤ acting. My advice is guard your soul more than your craft. Thank you

To be very honest, Michelle interrupted Bulelwa during the most important parts of this conversation, during the parts Bulelwa was giving the steps to getting this articulation of a thing perfectly right. Anybody else feels this way? Please give the guests the chance to give the value they have for audience
Watching from America we should be cautious about how we judge people and generalize those who come from different backgrounds. I want to say just because someone has an alleged with the culture consent considers a proper sounding voice doesn’t mean they are better or more articulate than someone with a public school education. That’s an elitist mentality. God knew where He would place each of us, and He didn’t do so for us to say, 'You don’t sound like me, so you don’t measure up.' We all have unique experiences that shape who we are, and I believe in loving and judging one another as Jesus teaches us to. Jesus was poor and grew up with public education and taught the world.
