Thank you very much for your videos. I wanted to ask if a hypertonic pelvic floor lead to tightness in internal anal sphincter. If so, which stretches will be useful for rectum tightnesss / Levi ani syndrome.
Hi Luke - thank you for this question! Hypertonic pelvic floor can lead to tightness in the internal anal sphincter. The internal anal sphincter is part of the pelvic floor. You want to make sure that the pelvic floor muscles can lengthen, and one way to do that is to do stretches to allow the sitz bones (ischial tuberosities) to move away from each other, or lengthen away. This can include stretches that lengthen the gluteus as well, or massage the gluteus, and stretches that focus on hip internal rotation. I will link another video here that goes over some nice pelvic floor + gluteus stretching.
Here is a good video on a few stretches you can do for rectal tightness/levator ani syndrome. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mTvyU6926Zc.htmlsi=w3JraNorirbjjuGu
