You said it best near the end of the video. These developers are just selling gamerscore now. Their self publishing privilege should be taken away for their consistent and blatant misuse of the feature.
My opinion on those cheesy games. You don’t gotta play them. People are more impressed with good completions anyway. A lot of older achievement hunters won’t wanna admit Gamer score has always been about money. The top gamer scores in the world are the result of plenty of disposable income. Either that or the privilege of getting free games from developers. The average person simply can’t afford to be a top gamerscore on average income. You need literally the entire catalog of games
I like to mix my completions up... for example... for every xbox 360 "Avatar burning earth" theres an "evil within" "Akuma" or something like that.. I actually feel cheesy if I play to many 15mins 1000k games... I suppose you could say I like a mixed bag.. each to their own I guess.. Still, I can safely say that even at 40 years of age... My best was 12.5k in about 6 hours I think. People complain about "selling achievements" but I don't really care. I found smart moves one and two to both be actually enjoyable games personally.
Good point. I've honestly played some really good games where I grab the 1k in a few minutes but actually play the game all the way through and maybe even go back to it.
Games like this has now made the amount of gamerscore people have just not impressive to me. Let me see which games someone has finished and not the amount. There's people out there who have 1 million gamerscore but it's all from super easy games where you don't really achieve anything, then there's people who only have 200k Gamerscore but it's from some of the hardest games around which actually take skill and are an achievement completing.
As an achievement hunter, these 5000GS really help boost my GS, currently at 560,000GS, I’ve earned over 300,000 GS in 4 months just from playing stacks on Xbox and PC, very big community around it and Xbox allow it
I think that a solution for this would be to do a hybrid of what both xbox and playstation do. Have the gamerscore, but also have a platinum trophy associated with "real" games. Something like Tiny Tina, if you got all the achievements, that would earn you a trophy. Something like Mushroom Quest would not. Now if you did this, the trophy would unlock after the non-multiplayer components is accomplished. So Halo would trophy out for the campaign only. Something like Warzone would just have the trophy associated with that MP thing. And while we are talking about achievements, can we stop having secret achievements that aren't tied to the story? Like I don't want to have to figure out that I need to stand in a specific spot on a specific day and get hit by a boulder. And I get that devs want to make non-story achievements an effort, it gets old when it's either something extraordinarily grindy or not what you would be doing through your average gameplay. Want me to collect all the buried coins? Ok. Want me to have a billion bucks in my possession? Ok, as long as the rate of income is reasonable. Want me to do all the minigames? Ok. Want me to win every kind of minigames 50 times each with each of the 8 characters? How about you piss off. I miss when achievements were simply, hey, you did this thing, cool. Now it's like an ass spanking machine half the time or the achievements don't pop or they are unattainable. And speaking of unattainable achievements, Xbox/PS need to update their systems to remove any achievements tied to crap you can't get anymore. Servers gone? Achievements go away if you haven't gotten them yet and the other achievements are scaled up accordingly or the total is shrunk down to what you can get. It's the 21st century, let's act like it.

I've noticed that some of those games that have easy achievements have new things like graphic appearance, elements that they didn't have before the update. I am referring to games like Smart Moves .
Honestly it’s part of the fun and it shows appreciation to those companies that create these games for$5 for 5000 gs compared to say bigger games that you might spend too much time in and barely get achievements all in all glade we have a stronger Community today and hope we keep getting the content from all you guys that put in the time and show how easy it is and find these games. @@akaScratch yea I like step by step vids I’d actually watch it and then do exactly what your doing to get those easy quick achievements for crazy high game score quick because in theory you would show us not only the what games to play what achievements to go for but also how to get those easy achievements to get our gamer score up crazy fast not waste any time at all achievements hunting in the dark about it trying to figure out how to get the achievements in effectively on our own because it would be shown in game how to get them like a super detailed comprehensive game score boost including watching you get those achievements
I remember COD: BO2 being such a fun game, they’d release a zombie DLC with 5 achievements for each one, and the achievements would be pretty hard (easter egg + wonder weapons) but it would be so rewarding grinding with friends for that big 75g easter egg achievements…kinda upsetting this is what achievements are now.
Just playing those easy achievement games gets boring real fast. I mix it up with what I call " real games ". Subbed and liked just for the fact you got 40k in a day amazing.
I can't get into my old account so I'm stuck making a new account an freaking out getting to my old score of 50,695 but these really help which is sad compared to how older games where with the achievements
Achievement Hunter would’ve loved you back in the day. Also, ONLY 500,000?! I’ve been playing since 2007 so 15 years and have only managed 50,000 G but I didn’t actively grind for achievements.
I’ve had months where I’ve got between 4-6k just by playing real games that I bought that month or got from game pass, and that’s without achievement hunting. Do you rarely buy new games?
If he had bought the multiple games when they first got released and then found after checking TrueAchievements that they had been updated with up to 5000GS then he would have tried one and found the updates. I've only recently started on these easy cheevo games.

Their entire purpose for existing is to trade dollars for gamer score,which is absolutely 100% stupid to ever engage in.i was personally shocked when i found out about that industry. No wonders we have so many microtransactions from the likes of EA,Activision,TakeTwo etc. If people will pay $5+ to increase a useless digtal number ,then buying a skin is fantastic value for those same funds.

He then suddenly found that they'd all been updated, probably by checking his achievements and seeing the new total, so then played the others. Not that hard to comprehend. I agree that microtransactions are a bad thing, and avoid ALL games that have them (I play Destiny2 but never buy Silver), but it's peanuts so whatever people want to spend their money on I guess.
I already had most of them and loaded them up to complete the updates. It wasn’t until I looked that I saw how much it actually was. Totally unexpected because it was just a “oh a bunch of these games have updates. I should redownload them and try to get caught up.” I knew it was a fair amount but didn’t sink in how much until I went to go to bed and checked the leaderboard and was like “holy shit”.

I'm going to ignore these games for the most part from now, maybe entirely, until they get find a way of getting rid of the developers who are specifically making games to sell gamerscore. I don't mind the games where the developers actually tried to make a cool game and it just happens to be a sub one hour completion, that's fine. Something like Tacoma is a good example. But it's getting crazy from some publishers now. Bought a game called Radioactive Dwarfs: Evil From the Sewers yesterday. 1000G in 20 seconds. Never again. Edit: Just saw you have a video about it. The sigh at the beginning of it sums the whole thing up really :)
@@akaScratch I think Cheat codes should always disable achievements, with pretty much no exceptions. And most games don’t need cheats in the first place, they’re fun to mess around with in some games but most don’t justify even having them in the first place

I think online achievements should be banned. Once the servers for the game shut down there is no way to get them. I also love that one the xbox 360, to this day, will let you unlock achievements offline. Having to be online to unlock chieves is bs.
i’m super conflicted on the idea of achievements (It was such a fresh idea on the 360) It changed the landscape of gaming forever while it’s a neat idea it walks this thin line (in reality in means absolutely nothing) You’re just bragging online to total strangers of a fictitious number attached to your gamer tag i think it’s a prime example that 65%+ of gamers have OCD (The crazy amount of money i give MS yearly buying games They should give me stock in there company lol I wish MS actually did something with the Gamer Score like if you have a certain score give the people $50 credit or something? being able to brag online to strangers is a little silly no real incentive…..
It's sad to see what the achievement system has devolved into now. It's basically just cheap whores and $5 BJs now for easy gamerscore. It's no better on Playstation trophies now either. People just want fast, easy and cheap achievements to inflate their profiles and money grubbing devs are more than happy to meet that demand. Microsoft and Sony need to have strict quality control standards about what games are allowed to be published on their storefronts. Not just allowing all this crap shovel ware these days. Feels like the Wii shoveware all over again. It's just about money rather than principal now. Sad, but true.....
