Thanks for sharing this - very useful! My workflow - so far at least - is very similar: Track #1 - Drum Rack with drum one-shots and sliced drum/perc loop(s) Track #2 - custom Drum Rack for resampling stuff Track #3 - something I want to keep live (in MIDI), e.g. some acid sound or FM Track #4 - scratch pad for resampling to #2, eventually another sound like #3 Love the Move so far! 🥰
Great stuff! Do you know if the master effects are resampled as well? By the way I know that you use Bitwig as well. One thing that I'm really hoping for is some kind of integration with that through a DrivenByMoss script. It would be awesome to pair it up with my Steam Deck.
I hear you! To be perfectly honest that's one feature that I haven't even touched yet (Move is too much fun standalone), but I'll try it out. Is there anything you would like to see?
@@cursortoxyz Nice! i‘d like to see how good it can be the Move for live Performance in the Session view, in the similar Fashion as the Launchpad pro. I‘d like to know how easy is to use the encoders to change fx in channels and also in the Master channel. Also, if it is possible to use the sequencer of the Move when using as a control interface, like the Launchpad Pro. 🙌
I thought you were doing something different with me, as your second track is called sampler. But after I watched, I realised that you have settled on the same layout as me. I make use of the Templates for my drum racks, to have quick access to settings such as gate.
Haha, great minds think alike. I guess most people figure this out by themselves, but I still wanted to publish a video, so that folks don't need to think too hard about it. Agreed, the templates are great!
Cool. I also landing on just one Drum track, which includes bass lines, etc. Leaving 3 tracks for synth (I like synths). Sure, show the meat, please! One things to do it SIMPLY capture 4-8 bar synths melody, pads, etc tracks to audio and insert to the Drum track as pads. Free up 3 tracks for new instruments. (Keep copy of initial project for midi and synth preset). I wish Ableton makes it possible fast and on device. For the starter making a flow with Live is a good start.
Thanks for sharing that workflow tip, I haven't tried that out and would love to hear some of your tracks that utilize this workflow! I have an idea that uses a similar technique which I will share later.
@@cursortoxyz Awesome! Even if I do usually make one track a month (on SoundCloud) iPhone or a groovebox is a melody starter. If project on Move reaches 6-8 tracks and a full song structure it will be a success for the device :D
Haha, me too. There is a black and white version on Bethesda's store, but that's not the same. I bought this a couple of years ago, it now has holes on the back, but I love it so much that I refuse to throw it away.
