4:32 min = Oh wow, what a small world ! That's my green sculpted painting called "DEGROWTH" ! What a real pleasure to see its color analysis here ! (My artist name is Nisheink by the way) Thank you !
Great video! One cheat that I have done is visit a hardware store paint aisle and scoop up the paint Swatch color harmony books that show 8+ swatches and room examples. I scan those in carefully and eyedropper the swatches to create a working palette.
You ignored the yellow parts in the blue design. Still very small details, so I won't deny you could call it an analogous colour scheme, but why would the next design with the green gradient be a split complementary scheme then? The amount of red is kind of negligible there.
That was helpful. Yes, we designers are struggle for our colors choices in our designs. It would be great if you included in your video, some Online tools we can use to create our color harmonies pallettes from that one main color. Thank you.
Thank you very much, it's a long time now I was searching for a content like this👍. I struggle very much with colors but now I got a solid lead on this. If only I could have liked multiple times (well I tried...)😅
I have always struggled with color we just don't understand each other the more you understand complimenting colors though the less you fail. Funnily enough I decided to use the colors from your 3/10 10/10 video on my latest painting vibrant electric blue and lava orange winning combo.
What I am struggling with is this .... 1 Do you consider a colour scheme before you start and then pick the colours? Or do you (with the experience you have) just KNOW what will work and then you think "Ah I've used a split complimentary there"? 2 Say I used a base colour. Do my other colours have to be base colours? Or can I use a base colour of one and say a tint of another? Good luck understanding what I mean lol
I kindly have a question And it is, as a beginner disgner did you ever feel you wouldn't be able to make it as a professional after watching and seeing other designers that where better than you Or did you know from the start that you would do better If the fomer, how did you overcome this Thank
It's natural to look at other designs and feel a bit shameful or insecure about your own work. I still see designs today and marvel at them; there will always be better designs and designers than you out there. Instead of feeling negative about it, look at the designs and understand why they are better or why they 'work'. You can then learn how to make your designs more functional and visually appealing. It's a process that we all go through. Every successful designer should be able to look at old work and see how it sucks compared to what they are making today.
hello satori. how you take care of your body and physical health? we designer always seat in front of computer. that's why we facing some physical problem. Pls 🙂 make a vedio about this topic
You should get up and stretch or do some mild cardio every 1-2 hours. Use bluelight filters when you're not designing, drink enough water, eat healthy non processed foods, and workout 3-5 times a week. Should be fine then
I wanna add just one thing: practice, practice, practice. Right after this video. Copy that artboard and try different combinations on what you're working on. The more you experiment the more you learn about colors, it's not something just from books.
