You reflect your leadership in people's thoughts. Go for it. PNG needs more like minded leaders like you. Transparent, Economically educated. Another Sir Mekere & Okuk.
Thank you for the well presented information. The way forward is combined the political will with the administrative will and involve the people of Papua New Guinea to make it happen. And as the speaker mentioned do it now.
Every member must be innovative in his own electorate before he can be qualified to be heard at the national level and that includes the PM. This is not to degrade JN's presentation on the PNGs economic potentials. All mandated leaders must possess a vision for his electorate when he is in power. It is complicated to transform a society without a vision. It is so sad to see politicians get into the parliament with bankrupt of ideas. This is the only reason why PNG cannot maximize its economic potentials. You cannot run this country without an idea. Ideas are source of transformations. Everything we see in the world are products of idea. Even the microphone is an idea. We can have an awesome presentation at any level of leadership but without an idea, we can be a generation of presentations and nothing will improve our economy. The solution to our national issues does not define by the policies created by PM and his cabinets. The solution to our national issues requires individual MP being innovative in his electorate first. As a leader, you cannot alleviate the national issues by suppressing the problems in your own home unless you first solve your own problem. Society is what produced the nation. Just put the society together and the nation will come together.
Botswana a country in Africa is shining example with little resources compare to PNG.With honest leadership that country citizens were lifted out of poverty and their GDP per capita is 18,000 US dollars. They only have two resources which are tourism and one diamond mine..That country became independent 9 years earlier than PNG yet Botswana has grown her economy and their citizens are enjoying high standard of living. Shame on PNG politicians leading PNG citizens into poverty.
Gutpla tingting na toktok blo yu but a couple of key points to highlight 1) Botswana population em roughly 2 million tasol na by comparison PNG em 11 million. That is significant (even though the area is more or less the same or at least comparable). 2) PNG has much more challenging terrain as well as the ethnic/tribal diversity which also present massive challenges. The spirit of your message perhaps is right but we can't oversimplify things on these complex topics.
