Today we take a long hike up the river searching for relics, coins, and bottles. We have some luck and most importantly, fun. What do you think about that super heavy cast iron "muffin mold" thingy I found? Any ideas?
About Aquachigger:
I enjoy metal detecting for historical items like gold coins, relics, silver coins, and other buried treasures. I also metal detect for gold and silver nuggets and even meteorites. I like to make videos that promote my choice of lifestyle that includes outdoor adventure,
metal detecting, yapping, searching for river treasure, SCUBA diving, exploring abandoned places, hiking, caving, caring for animals and pets, and observing the things outdoors that often go unnoticed by most people who are not familiar with outdoor adventures and nature. I keep my RU-vid "Aquachigger" channel family-friendly and hope you subscribe if you like my style.
BTW, you can also catch me here, / chiggsarmy ,but I may get a little edgier there. FB isn't a place for kids anyway...lol.

@charliealleman4966 a conicle mold is shaped like a cone you want the pgms to sink to the point of the mold. And you don't want your overflow going into the next mold. So it is deffinely not that. I have done assays and work in casting

I almost jumped through the screen !! I'm a B&O RR historian , and the first big iron thing you found looked like a mid nineteenth century journal box lid, but when I saw the second one,( that you hid), I'm pretty sure that both are pieces of a civil war era Winans Camel locomotive firebox. If not , it's some other locomotive of the same period. By the way, torpedoes are used to alert the train crew to an emergency track condition ahead,too.

I noticed the sylised Canadian Maple Leaf on your cut glove which is the same as the Junior hockey logo so I looked it up. Superior Glove products are engineered at our headquarters in Ontario, Canada (where I live). But our team and production facilities span across Canada, the United States, Mexico, and Central America. Bullet with the large base hole looks like a Williams Cleaner with the base plug missing. The pistol bullet meteorite looks likes someone tried to pound a hole in it with something rounded to make a fishing weight and gave up. I agree with the canteen spout, it is a dead ringer for one! Interesting finds right there.

in high school had a friend bring some torpedo's to school he had a job helping on the rail roads that was around 1964 . he said when they where backing up the trains they knew when they had gone back far enough by the sound the charge made . he brought some rr flares in also they had a nail in one end so they could be mounted to the wood that connects the rails. i put one in a metal pipe lit and dropped a c02 cartridge in. it worked just like a mortar. the next one failed to fire i made sure to hold it away from my head. it did fire and drove the nail and the flare into my leg sort of like a large dart. still have the scar on my knee .funny what kids can get themselves to.but it was fun.

@hamshackleton

17.35, not torpedos - detonators, used when a train had broken down between signals. The det's were placed on the track well behind, to warn the oncoming train to stop!
