DATA ANALYTICS FOR POULTRY INDUSTRY
There are four types of Analytics in Poultry industry namely (1) Descriptive Analysis
(2) Diagnostic Analysis
(3) Predictive Analysis
(4) Prescriptive Analysis.
Descriptive Analysis is an important tool for a poultry farm. This data will include all past activities, such production, disease records and market trends. By analyzing these historical data we can find patterns and unusual events .In every poultry farm there may be practice of maintaining CCTV cameras. These cameras throw light on several issues like diseases, movement of wild animals, and theft of birds. The real benefit of this data, however, is that it allows farmers and keepers the ability to monitor the behavioral patterns of their birds. In other words descriptive analysis helps us to make smart choices by keeping the past trends in mind.
Diagnostic Analysis helps is to find out the disease break out if any. All health and feed records are analyzed and remedial action taken. Exact cause of the disease can be found out by doing Diagnostic Analysis.
Predictive Analysis is an intelligent guess about what will happen in future both short time and long time. This is based on the historical data, descriptive analytics data and diagnostic analytics data. This will help us to find out the exact weight of the birds and help to take marketing decisions.
Prescriptive Analysis helps to improve the farms outcomes. The data driven system will become our adviser. This will include feed schedule, ventilation settings, lighting conditions in the farm. This will include increasing egg production.
By integrating an automated system with data collection and analysis tools, farmers are then able to analyses feed intake patterns, identify trends and make adjustments accordingly to ensure uniform bird growth. Data that indicates a reduction in consumption could also be an early-warning indicator of disease incursion.
