Boost more often! and tip, you can control your car in mid air by rotating your car towards the point you want it to go, and then boost

OB if you don't know what the scorpion does when you touch the slime it it reduces your boost which is kind of really bad and also you did well handling this boss these cars are not going to be messing around with you they will test your limits to see how good you are during each boss race
