Ah yes, my favourite era of battleships! You can do so much funky stuff with these hulls now that it's legally possible to put barbettes on them if you know what you're doing!
That was ridiculous. The hit took out all the underwater tubes and torps in all areas of the ship. Man devs do you understand how damn stupid that is?? You have a process already in place to pen areas of the ship and armor and guns at set locations. But torp processes are still absurdly generic across the entire ship. Three distinct torp systems = three items to hit like on the guns. Fix this stupidity.
Here an sugestion of a challenge. A 1900 to 1910 convoi raid, but the adversary fleet is selected by roling the dice while you have a limited budget for your fleet?
Two bow hits decided the battle. Or rather, after your torpedo launchers were destroyed, the crew minimized the subsequent flooding. From how the flotation dropped by over 50% across 60 seconds after the hit at 14:00, the Dreadnoughtish may have had inferior damage control. While the same three bottom front compartments are flooded on both ships, you can see the British ship had many, many more red and yellow areas above it. So when at fifteen minutes, you penned just in front of the flooded steering compartment, the ship just couldn't take much more.
Also, huge mistake using torpedoes in an unbalanced environment, in DIP it's still not only extremely easy to hit underwater torpedo launchers, but they also suck out every single torpedo from all other torpedo launchers upon torpedo detonation. Same case for ammo detonations, not to mention ships flooding with water comically fast, even more so in 1.5.0. 1 game version I'd guess. Annoyingly enough. Even more annoying than Extensive Fire to me.
