Unlucky Morpheus is so incredible. It is such a lavish experience to see two lead guitarists, a lead violinist, a speed drummer, a solid bassist, and a powerful female voice on the same stage. They are such a musically talented bunch and one of the most underrated bands out there. If you like them, I recommend "Black Pentagram(live version)" next. Enjoy🤘

Drummer was from Galneryus, another ridiculous band, well worth a listen. The song is physically played backwards, as in the musicians play the score in reverse for the second half, it's not simply flipped on the reel to reel ;) Definitely a very intense band, Fuki is very much a belter style singer. So many great bands in Japan. And it's absolutely NOT just female. (not discounting the females, all great bands, but you're limiting yourself by not digging further.) The grand daddys are X Japan, and Dir en grey. Worth digging into those two for foundations. X Japan - Kurenai, Dir en grey - Vinushka live, Androgynos version. Then you have newer bands embarrassing the West in heavier hybrid styles, Jiluka, Dexcore, Nazare, Deviloof. These are bonkers bands that push the limits of music. Jiluka - Venom, Dexcore - Skindeep, Nazare - Ideal, or find that the grab the one with the guy with the ventilator mask. Persevere with that one past the chaos, the start might throw you but Mio is an incredible vocalist. Then you have Versailles mentioned in another comment, Faith and Decision is an epic. Absolute masterpiece. And then a couple of curveballs, Neth Priere Cain - Valhalla, DazzlingBad - Antagonism. All just for fun, and a very mixed bag. All may throw you for a loop, but persevere and they're all rewarding.

UM are great! Check out "Unending Sorceress." A little bit heavier than this one with Shiren doing some harsh vocals. Yes, they are still current, but doing some side projects atm including Shiren's epic melodic death metal project, Unholy Orpheus, which is very good (Just UM without Fuki.) See their MV for "Undeveloped Land." Also, Hizaki, the guitarist from Versailles, just released a new solo album and features Jill on violin on the single, "Stella Maris." Since Versailles are a Neo-Classical power metal band, you can imagine what Hizaki's style is, since he writes the majority of their music. I'd venture a guess you'd love his stuff (FYI Hizaki is a him, but cross-dresses as part of is artist persona)

This is 2 songs.. the first is based on a story they read about a place that creates people and turns their reminds into diamonds. So this is about a dead body being turned into a diamond. The second part Revedac is Cadaver spelled backwards. In this the person casts a magic spell on the diamond to resurrect the dead love one. Now musically they played this song throug but then the second song is reverse, they play the notes backwards.

The drummer of this band is Fumiya and he is the drummer for Galyrnus..see Angel of Salvation.

Bands that are Visual Kei, have a Visual concept. Band Maid... Maid Outfits Aldious... Hostess club Outfits. Versailles... Baroque Era Vampires who wear French Rococo style. This band is all male, regardless of the costumes. Yes the guy in the red dress is a guy, not LGBTQIA, that is just a costume. He dresses like a normally guy when not performing, ot is just a character he plays, like when they used Boyd to play women during Shakespeare time, because women couldn't be actors. Japan had a similar thing.

If you want fir all Female Japanese metal bands. On 2008 Aldious because the first commercially successful All Female band since Show Ya from the 1980s. They have 9 studio albums all of which made the Billboard Japan too 100 albums for the tear they were released. About 80 songs in their Discography, 4 different singers, and not a single bad song. I would recommend doing Aldious Dominator Live Radiant A O East. Dominator is the song, Radiant A is the Album tour and O East is the venue.they are out of Osaka.
