Fuki may very well be the best female vocalist in Japan right now. I know people will bring up people like Utada Hikaru, Shiina Ringo, Namie Amuro, Yuko Suzuhana, etc., but as much as I like all those others, Fuki gets my vote on just her vocal quality (I like Utada's songwriting the best).
If you like this one, another of their songs is pretty great too. Black Pentagram ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-V8i_QhOgsKw.html They're all insanely talented.
This band is amazingly good. At the big Doll$Boxx concert on Sunday Fuki announced a festival of bands related to Doll$Boxx called Dolls Fest happening in Japan this July. Announced thus far are DOLL$BOXX (of course), Gacharic Spin, Unlucky Morpheus and Fuki Commune, with more to be announced. Seriously considering selling a kidney to go...or seeing if we can somehow convince them to take the festival around the world!
Assuming I get past the ticket lottery, I'm going to this. I saw Doll$Boxx last December, and it was one of the very best shows I've ever seen. Unlucky Morpheus are more of the same.
"convince them to take the festival around the world".... yes,... thís! With some European dates if possible. I sometimes think many these artists and their managements/agencies are all too unaware how fast the popularity of the japanese metal/music scene outside Japan is growing!
I really like your honest and knowledgeble input/reaction, i just couldn´t stop myself from subscribing. If you wanna check out some older work of theirs i would recommend the album 猫吟鬼嘯 were all songs but one is a duet. Also the album Affected wich has strong neo classical influences. They have been around for 10 years now and Yuki the older guitarist writes pretty much everything by himself, he is one of the most talented musicians i have had the pleasure to find out about. The younger guitarist Jinya who has a channel on youtube is also a crazy good talent. He has a side project called "Carbonic Acid" and on his first album "countdown" Fuki is the lead singer. Sorry for spamming down the comment field.
the guitarist with red hair is shiren, he recently left yousei teikoku due to health reasons. but theyre my favorite band and id definitely recommend them
Mostly true, but while they play video mostly forward for Cadaver and mostly Cadaver video backwards for Redavac, they recorded Redavac video as well and sprinkle Cadaver with backwards clips from Redavac and Redavac with forwards clips from Redavac. That helps illustrate how truly amazing this is.
React to the queen of Kawai metal next: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ybxFU5Xr2AM.html (yousei teikoku - flamma idola), same guitarist as Unlucky Morpheus.
I second also checking out Black Pentagram by them - legit. Check out My Bacteria Heat Island - 嗚咽 (Oetsu) ; tell me the build up to the breakdown isn't tasty as hell: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ToQvULaSKhQ.html
Let me make it even harder for you, my friend, to wrap your mind around: EVEN THE FUCKIN LYRICS MAKE SENSE WHEN REVERSED. I cant get it, how's this possible....
O J Not quite; the lyrics and vocals are different (though there are a few verses that reflect their "counterparts" from the other part). But they do have, in a way, opposing themes. All my thanks to the person that translated the lyrics in the comments of the OV
O J I apologise for spreading fake news: I just watched the video with the music sheet, and the vocals (but not the lyrics) are just as inverted as the rest of the song; there's just some parts in REVADAC with additional vocals (in backwards German!) joining the instrumental.
Ariel J. Birnbaum Still so amazing! I showed the song(s) to all my friends who do music, and expectedly everyone was fascinated. Funny enough, most of them like revadac even more than cadaver 😆
