First thing on any new fpv drone I do configure my standard OSD with betaflight. Cell voltage awareness is one of the main reasons. It's refreshing to see an influencer / youtuber fail at something and frankly talk about that. Thumbs up!

The Defenders are fantastic quads - bad luck about the crash and crush. I have the Defender 25 and it's probably my favourite quad at the minute, I don't regret selling my Avata for a minute - The Defender beats it hands down.

@@TheHoodieStore The Avata is OK, and produced good footage and has GPS if you get lost in woods etc - follow the arrow back. Apart from that I reckon the Defender is better.

Agree with you ! I own an avata before but I lost it in a waterfall, afterwards I purchase defender 25 and it is so good 😊

Sorry for your loss. It looked like a fun little drone. Sadly, that model doesn't look terribly repairable. I love my Mob8 w/O3 which is similarly sized - I've repaired it a few times, but nothing major.

Sorry Mike but I’m laughing 😂 (not at you)…just that it’s kinda funny to be honest. My first impression was “what was he doing to do that much damage..take it straight into a brick wall!”. Then I thought, oh wait maybe it ended up hitting the concrete road when you lost signal. But I’m thinking that’s a pretty small and light quad to have that much damage. Then you tell us after the crash it got run over by a car 🚗. Ah…now I understand! Well, don’t feel bad…it happens and your right…it’s a bit distracting when your doing more than just flying. Multiple camera 📷 running, recording MICs , narrating, etc. multiple objects to watch on OSD . It’s more distracting than many realize. Love what iFlight does….hopefully they understand too! Appreciate the honest though. 😎👍👍

Aaaahhhhh, yes, 3.0 volts per cell is far too low for DJI O3. I endeavor to be landed before I am below 3.5 volts per cell. I installed and use Fly Me to the Moon (FM2M) on my RadioMaster Boxer (the paid / full version). One of the options is battery warning sounds/haptics on my radio so I can hear voltage alerts (beeps) in case I'm missing it in the goggles OSD or if I'm flying LOS. I start getting some warnings beeps at about 3.8 volts that get more urgent as voltage drops and I can hear when I hit about 3.5v so I know it's time to be landing. Honestly, just for these beeps I think FM2M is 100% worth it.

Damn bro, but like you said. Things happen. Unfortunately with FPV, I found out the harder way that the smaller these quads are - the faster it is to destroy them.

Wow sorry for the unlucky mishap. I'm a little confused about the battery voltage. When you first took off I saw 8.1 volts I believe for a split second but then the battery voltage dropped to 7.7 within a couple seconds then go 7.5 I believe within the first 30 seconds of flight. You were barely pushing the throttle. I would say just enough to keep it moving. I was watching the battery voltage drop and wondering when you were going to land.. I usually land when the cells are at 3.4 to 3.5 volts. I've heard about DJI's video cutting out when the battery gets low, but I didn't know what that point is. I'm sorry we all had a lesson at your expense. So it looks like right at 3 volts per cell is the video cut out limit. Man we have all crashed manyyyyy times but that is really bad luck . There was probably 95 % grass where you would have been safe. Wowwww sorry bud! But that was definitely an eye opener.

Wait the air unit has a internal storage. Cuz if so I filmed a shot than after the shot realised there is no Sd card in the air unit.

It does yes, connect it via usb-c to your computer and it will pop up as a flash drive

If any fpv pilots say that they havent got carried away on a flight and killed a battery or black out because of over discharging they lying it happens to everyone. That just means you were having fun ;) .
