This song is so nostalgic. Coming from a Tamil background, this song brings back memories from the 80s when the war was on. Yet, we sang and hummed every beautiful tune regardless of language...that united us as a country. During the war, listening to these songs, made our hearts full. Even though I live outside Sri Lanka now, when I listen to these gorgeous songs, I want to come back to my country...the land my forefathers breathed and lived...where we ate kiribath & lunumiris ❤ my motherland
Everyone seems to have nostalgia associated with this song. I'm Sinhalese and I get what you are saying machan. Hope you will visit our motherland one day.

The true feeling cannot be generated without the original background music...Only a few songs can be found in Sri Lankan music. This song is one of those.
I keep coming back to this song over the years. Absolutely love the 'feel' of it. It sounds relaxed on the surface but it evokes a very intense romantic feeling if you pay attention to the lyrics along with the music.
