Unnecessarily Cruel Live Feeding Videos Need To Stop 

I 100% agree that these people and the people who make fake animal rescue videos need to be removed from all platforms permanently as well as tracked down and charged with animal cruelty!

Just sickening, I got to the point where FEEDING A LIVE RABIT that is inhumane and disgusting. Just disgusting not to mention the enclosures there kept in just disgusting and something needs to be done both the animals taken away and the channels taken down.

People are sick and have no love for their pets, just for views is evil 😔

As a snake keeper ive only had one baby require live for a time i absolutely hated it and rejoiced when i switched him to frozen. Live feeding is just a terrible look for reptile keepers in general. Outside of snakes i think its completely not needed and is just cruel as stated by others.

Those people Sadistic Psychopaths who like to watch things struggle in pain and die.

I've been reporting these videos for some time now for animal abuse and it looks like youtube just does not care seeing as all of the videos I reported are still up

This kind of "content" is not educational. What are we supposed to be learning from it? From the villainizing titles to the unrealistic prey, it's clear whoever posts these videos are doing it for money. Not to mention the tiny enclosures I hope aren't their full time housing, but probably are. I'm really glad you make videos like this to expose this happening.

didn't even watch the video yet but YES I AGREE. i saw a video of some asshole throwing in a mouse into his turtle's tank and watching it eat it. i understand live feedings and such but is it really hard for even the food critters to be treated with respect? or am i just crazy... *edit: yep, watching the video and thats exactly what youre talkin' about.

I came across this too when I was looking for videos on small animals and it is terrifying. Apparently, there is a fan base of sociopaths and people with serial killer traits that watch these videos and make them. They are sick and dangerous and RU-vid needs to do something about it. It is cruel and unnatural (people try to justify it by saying it's just what happens in nature, when it doesn't).

I have been trying and trying to bring awareness to this for a few years now, what got me most was seeing videos of guinea pigs and rabbits being fed to lizards just large enough to kill them. but unable to actually eat them, and people keep making "requests" for exotic feedings. Hopefully enough people can flag these videos to at least kill income for a month or two at least

What's pretty crazy is the kind of audience it pulls, you see the kind of monsters on the comments sections. Also some of the people doing the feeding are pretty much orgasming in the videos. These people are true sociopaths and I don't understand how RU-vid flags all kinds of shit but allows this.

OH MY GOSH.... I had to take a break during this video when you got to the hamster because I had one a few years back that LOOK IDENTICAL! and like you said they are SOOO intellegent! She could recognize me and other people, she would sit and snuggle with me, she was a MASTER at escaping. SO much personality packed into one little hamster i was devestated when i lost her. To see someone torture it like this is painful...

I Honestly thank you for creating this video I myself have a baby turtle and I always wondered if they had a carnivorous diet because there is like a million different videos showing turtles eating other animals (that aren't in their diet.) and I always wondered if you had to feed them some other animals and I thought the exact same thing you said about the animals being eaten by the turtles are not supposed to be their natural diet because they do not live in the same habitat, I thank you for exposing these people for their cruelty to the animals being eaten and mistreating the turtles

These people are the literal worst to me. Not only are they forcing their animals into stressful and harmful situations by making them have to kill their prey and attack/fight with it, they film it for some sick form of entertainment for people to watch. They don't care about how their animal turns out after, they don't care about providing proper nutrients or diet to their animal, they just care about shock factor and views. It's a really horrible thing, and I'm really glad to see at least one person talking about it! These animals cannot speak and need someone who will, just like you!

Totally agree, I live in Australia and have had a short neck turtle in my care for 29years but Rocky is been aged to be around 70 plus years by his vet! He is living a very spoilt life and is well loved. Keep the great vids coming.

Unfortunately Dan, animal abuse and suffering seems to appeal to way too many feeble minded morons. Any excuse to indulge in such heinous behaviour, including those who spectate, seems to go unpunished and the very minor legal charges never bring adequate justice for the affected animals. Sadly this and other similar channels don't seem to monitor the contents of videos closely enough to prevent an ongoing display of animal torture.

i havent watched the video yet, but i wanted to mention i once found a youtuber that owned a caiman and fed it live rabbits. they posted a picture of two rabbits on their community tab with the caption "new video next tuesday". its sick, and the fact that everyone was calling him such a good person for keeping his caiman entertained. GET IT TOYS snake discovery did that and it worked perfectly.

So, I keep feeder fish in my DBT's habitat because they are really good at cleaning up his messes, particularly pellets he misses. Every month or so, a couple go missing. I don't really consider it part of his diet, more of an occasional treat and stimulation. But this stuff is disgusting. Thank you for blurring. I feel bad for the turtles, their habitat is basically a tiny cage. It's the turtle equivalent of dogfighting.

Nature doesn't bring you your life food like that, you gotta find and catch it yourself. I am aware that some animals may not accept dead prey or may not eat it at all times but that doesn't mean you should abuse the prey animals before that. They deserve to live and proper treatment just as much as your pet. In fact they are pets for thousands of other people who might see whatever is your pet as disposable, dangerous or whatever undesirable. In either case it's the people who need to get their shit right. They're all animals and not one is more worthy or more important than the other. These people's that feed there pets live animals need to be stop and charged. I had bull frogs in the past and fed them meal worms and crickets. All these RU-vid videos with people's feed and hurting animals need to be taken down.

My friend sold her pet hamster named Hamsy. They didn’t hear of her for a couple months but then they found out that the person who adopted Hamsy fed her to a big reptile they had in their house :(( I was only 8 or 9 so I don’t remember much, but afterwards I was scared of reptiles 😢

Stuff like this makes me so uncomfortable. Not so much the live feedings but feeding animals things they shouldn't eat. I prefer feeding my snakes live mice under semi consistent supervision to make sure no harm comes to my reptile. But as a turtle owner myself the most live food my sliders have ever had are feeder goldfish or red wigglers.

I saw the snapping turtle/alligator on my feed last night--I reported and clicked on the "not interested". Disgusting stuff only entertains disgusting people.

I’ve got 3 turtles and I had bought feeder gold fish and they never touched them. The goldfish grew to fully adult size and I still have them in there with the turtles. I ended up adding convict cichlids and they all live harmoniously. I’ve never lost a single fish to the turtles

One thing that irratates me are people who have acquatic bird/ large fish pets which swallow theyr prey whole and don't even kill small fishes before feeding them to said pet ( the small fish gets swallowed alive)

It looks like some of his channels were recently started like just months ago, so he probably gets stuff pulled all the time. Post all the channels and get all your viewers to repeatedly report them. Also, you can find his email address.

I use to enjoy Live Feedings as it's cool watching pet reptiles "hunt" their food like that, but as I got older, I started to notice how off it all was. One channel named Golden Squad would feed random birds and rodents to their lizard. They said that the feeder animals were kept in a nice spacious environment with toys and stuff but they showed the enclosures for them and it was basically a cramped plastic box with nothing to do... They also started putting long warnings in their videos telling people to f*ck off if they don't like it and in some instances even their reptiles look sick.. On that Prince's Predator Pets channel he sometimes torments the prey and hurts them before tossing them to his lizards. Yeah.. Most of these people do not care about these animals, they just do this so people can fling one to a video of small animals being injured.

Me and my father a while ago found a channel called Mr froggie. And he asked me why it bothered me when I watch feeding videos alot. And it's cause dude. You got this animal that your animal cannot possibly eat ethically in this small little box. Like dude it's torture for these animals this isn't a feeding. A feeding is watching an animal you own eat what's in front of it. Not rip something apart and barely finish what's in front of it for 5-10 minutes straight. I'm a nature guy... this isn't nature. It's evil, its people wanting to see animals rip apart other animals in a small little confined space like it's the Roman fighting pit. That mr froggie channel would just put animals together want want them to fight. Months ago they put a near starved bearded dragon up against a pacman frog like... dude no pacman frog is going to eat a bearded dragon. He also did the same with a pacman frog and baby crocodile. They just slowly passed while being crushed in the mouth of that thing. It's soul crushing. Alot of these animals that these people choose ARE NOT COMMON FEEDER SPECIES AT ALL and all had the potential to find loving homes and be cared for. Sickening

I mean, live feeding is live feeding no matter their mammal, reptile, etc, but if you're going to do it, you need to feed those animals what their species would NORMALLY eat as their diet, otherwise, the animal will start having problems and plus it'll just make you look bad, especially to people who are experts on those particular animals, like yourself.

Guys i need help, i cant get my turtle to eat in a separate container (as most turtle keepers do), he just won’t eat. He will look at the food and then get right back to trying to escape, he won’t eat in there at all. I had a large container and got an even bigger one and that didn’t work. He used to eat in the container as a hatchling but won’t now. He will only eat in the tank which dirties it up very badly And is messing up my live plants. It just makes such a mess. And even in the tank he is barely interested in the food,Im scared, should i take him to the vet? What do i do?

I thought I was going to be ok, but I had to drop out half way through. I understand carnivores need meat, but you can feed them without torturing the prey animal. If zoo’s can feed lions without live feeding, you can feed your turtles with normal food.

I'm so glad someone in the community is speaking out about this. As someone who loves content about animals, I am so sick of these videos popping up. Watching that lil mouse/rat cower in the corner from the snapping turtle only to be thrown into the water made me want to cry... There is nothing natural or educational about that, it's straight up cruelty. I've argued in the comments of these videos (i don't anymore, it only gives them more attention) and the freaks who watch this shit will actually shame you for being sensitive to this... Like yeah, I'm a human being with empathy, if you don't feel a little horrified by this shit, then you're the one with a problem.

This is definitely wrong on many levels 😢 one year we had rats in our house (we live in the county) and we discovered one day that my adult RES had eaten a rat. We found the fur, bones and tail in her tub, which sits on the floor. I was glad she wasn't hurt, but was horrified she did that.. the rat must have been trying to get a drink. 😳
