For example you'd call things you find cute like, a cat would be "Neko-chan" and or a girl who acts/is cute they are referred with "chan." Just FYI, Nogla, chan is generally used for girls' names in Japanese. For boy's, it's kun. On another note, not saying anything at the end of a person's name in Japan shows that the two people have a really close friendship or romantic relationship.
