This video is part 1 of a 2 part video, where I show the process I go through when remixing a track, which in this case is DJ Seduction's classic from 1991, Hardcore Heaven.
The editing was taking ages so I decided to split the video into 2 parts in order to make my life a bit easier. Part 1 focuses on the early part of my process. Importing the original tracks, sampling, working out the melodies, chopping up the breaks, warping samples and creating ALC files of the chopped up breaks, and creating the new riffs of my remix.
Part 2 will focus on the effects such as reverb, delay, phasing, eq, and will also go over some advanced techniques like side chain compression, using return tracks and anything else that relates to the mixdown. Then finally after the mixdown is complete, I will reveal the whole track.
