I can't agree more. I just think this mess of an Olympics has really failed the athletes. I'm into archery myself, and the prep the Korean female team put in looked like they were set to break world records. The French have failed all these athletes badly, all that training for the Olympic dream, and they sleep on cardboard in air con free rooms. PR provides an opening ceremony that guarantees a level of boycott. Shocking, but not surprising from the French.

The Olympics are a shell of what they used to be when I was growing up. They used to be something a lot of people looked forward to and now I don't know a single person watching them.
It all started when they allowed professional athletes to compete. It became the pinnacle of international politicization and commercialization rather than amateur sport.

I am from the U.S. 🇺🇸 and in total agreement with you about the medals. What exactly is the point of “Going for the Gold” if you are going to lump all winnings together. It is 90% of our media twisting everything to meet their woke narrative. It’s also really sad to know this woman spent her life training to be the best woman athlete in a sport only to have a man come in and beat her, literally, in 46 seconds. It’s why you don’t see women getting into men’s boxing, they know they can’t compete.
