My favorite thing is the unpopular opinions tag but i’ve yet to do one because i haven’t read as many books as i’d like to

Same, I don’t get why so many people hate the selection! I really enjoyed it! My problem with hush hush was that before reading it I read twilight, and although they are not exactly the same, I found some things pretty similar at that time and that made me not loving the series🤷🏼‍♀️ Ps: I really like your videos, kisses from Argentina🤗

But catching fire had a scene with Haymitches game. The peacekeeper who became an avox. More about the former victors. The movie leaves so much out.

I HATED MATCHED TOO!!!! OMG

I devoured The Selection trilogy, but it really isn't very good. It's like book junk food. There is zero world building (the caste system and the other kingdoms were barely mentioned and Cass really could have fleshed it out much more) there was a tremendous amount of angst, a ridiculously frustrating love triangle, and the second book really didn't even need to exist. I likened it to watching a reality tv show. Fun to watch, but not much substance.

Usually i with these videos I disagree with a lot of the opinions But with yours u found my self agreeing with u. With the matched series I couldn’t finish the trilogy either and I didn’t like Jason at first because it felt like he was taking Percy’s place and when in mark in Athena he and Percy both tried to sit at the head of the table it was like he was trying to become the leader .

I barely finished Matched and decided to read the second to give it a try and I got a couple pages through before I gave up. That was the first book I DNF'd. And at that time I wasn't a believer of DNF'ing any book not matter how bad. Also I really loved Hush Hush until Nora and Patch left Scott's body (I believe) to go hook up even after he had sacrificed himself to save Nora. That really bothered me and I couldn't truly enjoy the ending. I still remember the "You dress to impress" and " No I undress to impress" exchange. Even as a tween I cringed lol. I also enjoyed Red Queen but it went downhill once I read the other books. I definitely DNF'd the last book because I had had enough when someone unlocked an iron lock with water. I don't know what world they live on but in my world there are rules and water cannot unlock anything. That was the last straw for me because I also couldn't stand Mare's hypocrisy when it came to Cal. I don't know if I'll ever even finish it since I already know the basic ending.

I tried to read the selection series and I couldn’t get past the first book because I just found it so boring. Which makes me really sad because the people that love the book just talk about how they couldn’t put it down (even if they knew it was awful) and I felt the complete opposite😂 I put it down and never picked it back up
