Unraveling The Glamour: Reviewing Jay Z's Iconic Armand De Brignac Champagne (Ace Of Spades)

In this part of this episode, we taste the Armand De Brignac Champagne or otherwise known as Ace of Spades. This Champagne House is owned by the famous rapper Jay Z husband (soon to be Ex) to Beyonce, with a share now being acquired by the French luxury giant LVMH.
This champagne retails at between £200 and £300 and in our view it's taste did not warrant the price tag.
In John L's opinion, the Ambriel tasted a few weeks ago which retails at £26.50 tastes better!

This review was right on the money. They basically re-bottled Cattier NV Brut (which went for around $50 a bottle), changed the name, and jacked the price up. It is a terrible value, you can get much better champagne for WAY less expense!

Dunno how I exactly landed on that video but anyway. I've to say I already had several bottles of the Armand de Brignac and also on their Rosé and I#ve to say yes they are Good but for me there's a lots of Premium thanks to Jay Z and marketing. And Jay Z does not own the Champagne House since the Champange House which makes the Armand de Brignac is made by Cattier together with Jay Z. The price for a non Vintage is for sure extremely high. My personal favorites are Cristal and the Dom Pérignon along with the La Grande Dame or from some smaller houses. Ps.: I've enjoyed the video and gonna for check out some more :)

@@WineMastery you're absolutely right taste is always subjective and this for sure not a bad wine it has or had just a "hype" which it couldn't live up to in conjunction with the price. I really appreciate your reply especially since the video is already a little older :)

I like Ace and you guys are you not influenced in your ratings more by who owns this brand? Maybe it would be worth it if it was owned by Paul McCartney or someone like that?

That is a good point Goldteeth if we like someone then that can transfere over to someone's produce or creation. There is a whole world of influences that go into whether you like a particular wine or not! The biggest of which is personal taste. My next biggest factor and certainly a case in point here is the price.. Just because I don't like a wine does not mean that you will not too! To answer your question regarding Paul McCartney, I don't think the fact that a celebrity that I liked made the wine would make any difference, whilst I think I would be influenced if it was someone I knew personally and liked. Interesting comment thanks for taking the time to comment 👍 ps at least you didn't peg me to be old enough to like Glen Miller🤣

Don’t think it was because of Jay-z. It was because of the price tag. At this price, there are just so many better options out there. And I think most of the cost went to the package and marketing instead of the grapes and wine making. Similar to Beats by Dre.
