I was thinking no way could I have something like what you have in a few minutes. Followed right along and things were super simple. First time in Ue5, I would have been lost looking for the old tools on my own.
im not even joking when im saying ive spent like 10+ hours trying to start learning unreal 5 and i've encountered countless problems which have lead me to tutorial on tutorial without ever understanding anything yet your 10 minute video solved almost all of my problems and was very easy to understand, thank you for making this!
Thank you for this! Beautifully fitting approach. Unlike another so-called "beginner's Tutorial" which wanted to complicate things with more advanced items. This sort of tute of yours allows me to get a taste to build upon.
I love, Thanks ! - If possible to make tutorial on Space scene setup (why not a space station thematic) and an other one on Underwater scene setup (why not deep sea) :)
That was just amazing! Such a nice and straightforward tutorial! Thank you so much, I`ve learned the basics to motivate me exploring on my own! Thank you! 💚
Hey! If you are reading this, UE5 has officially come out. So, you can skip making the light and sky by going into the window tab, the to Env. Light Mixer, and then checking all the boxes (other than directional light 1). Should speed it up a bit.
Bro... You are a godsend... Very informative video... Thanks much!!... Exactly what I wanted to learn before jumping into film and animation!!!.. Thank uuuu
Self-use note: 3:35 ~ 8:22 SECTION 2: SETTING UP CANYONS ENVIRONMENT 3:35 Create default landscape and assign a desert ground material from Quixel Content 4:39 To fix the material repeat problem, open the material editor and lower the value of "Tiliing X" & "Tiling Y" 4:54 Add canyon stones from Quixel content and adjusting 5:49 Add "Cine Camera Actor" and "Snap Object to View" (Right click on the item in "Outliner" 6:28 Introduction to "Current Camera Settings" (in "Details" tab) 7:29 Use the dropper to adjust the "Cine Camera Actor's" focus length based on objects (in "Details" tab) 7:49 Add more objects to create the canyons environment
sir I wanna learn ue5 but when I open it its says compiling shaders and it took forever to load 4K files are loading and it took very long time is it normal or I did anything wrong please help
can you please show everything from the beginning? i don't know how to get a blank project like this. there's always stuff already in it. please do one for first time users
Hey, man! thank you! such a great tutorials! ..I have a problem with focus on UE5.. there is no blur\bokeh in picture. all the rocks and ground on all the distance are totally sharp... What could be wrong, could I ask you?
In the cinematic camera under the focus settings, enable draw debug plane. You will see a purple plane which denotes the focus distance. So, you can change the focus distance till the objects are in focus. Also, decrease the aperture to something like 1.2. Hope this helps!
i tried.. unfortunately not helping..there is a plain, but all the objects are or totally sharp in all depth, or blurry in all depth.. there is no focus 'line' in between.. it looks like its just doesnt work right in my case 😓
Hi, thank you so much for this great tutorial! I have only one question… Pressing Ctrl + L and moving my mouse doesn't work for me. Is there something I could be doing wrong?
Make sure that the atmosphere sun option is turned on in the directional light. Also, press Ctrl+L and while still holding down Ctrl move the mouse to rotate the sun. Note the Ctrl key should be held down when moving the mouse.
I want to ask. Do you have to download the plugin again or not when you want to get Quixel Bridge? And do you use the internet for searching materials, 3D models, etc?
Hello pinkpocketTV if this is too much to ask I can understand why. Would it be possible for you to make a tutorial for a temple ruin with a Lara Croft style figure and some crates of some sort. Many thanks Sir.
I think that some assets are low quality even on the nanite quality. So, there is no fix for that. Also make sure that you are lighting your scene correctly. Lightning and good shadows are very important for the realism of a scene.
Hey PinkocketTV, Any chance you can make a tutorial on the Tropical Beach Inviroment? After watching your videos i tried to make a beach one but i can't figure out how to make those palm tree's.. They come as trunks that is hollow, then Decals i can't figure out how to use on those Trunks.. Overall no idea how to build the palm trees to make it look good xD
Anyone else not have the same tiling checkbox option he has under global? I think I'm running UE5.3 now, so I guess the revision must have changed the location of some of these things.
11:36 how long does it take to render? Is anybody can help answer. Because i find it very slow to render realistic scene.. for example when i use cycles blender render. Insanely slow on my pc
Cycles is not a real-time rendering engine. UE5 uses lumen for dynamic GI and real-time reflections. UE5 is a game engine so it’s way faster that any traditional raytraced rendering engine. UE5 also has a traditional non real-time raytraced option called the pathtracer. Hope this info helps!
Hello, The tutorial is amazing but when I try to open bridge in UE5, it says you are offline and I can't see any material or objects to import in project. Please help. Thanks
@@pinkpocketTV I have just a laptop with a Ryzen 5 with an rx 5000, 16 gb ram, amd Radeon . I also have a 4tb hard drive and the amd Radeon software witch can boost gaming and what not, but it still crashes and lags. What do you propose would be the best and cheapest option for ue5 and games.
thank you for this tutorial but i have a critical question... is there any way to affect the color of a 3D mesh imported from Mehascan quixel ? For example in your project what if we have choose another material for landscape and we wanted to make a color adjustment in 3d assets to match/fit with the scene ??????
Yeah there is an albedo tint value in the material of each asset! So you can change the color from there. If you want fine control, you can export the color maps from unreal as an image then modify it using photoshop and reimport the file in UE.
@@pinkpocketTV thank you for the FAST response! Yeah I played a bit with albedo tint of 3D's material and it works nice.. thank you. It is critical if you choose 3D assets from different collections to make them match/fit in color. :D
Update: Someone else in the comments said it could be due to not selecting the same ground asset. Tiling showed up when I picked the same ground. **I also hadnt selected HD quality. That may have been the reason too
Could you bring a 2D video of an asset in, like a chroma keyed video of an animal standing there, stick it in this scene and have it motion tracked with lighting, focus changes and everything?
IM SORRY I've been struggling for a few days now because of a really dumb mistake. I hope I'm not the only one with this issue so this might help someone. The part with rotating the sun, the "press crtl+L" part, yeah, It's HOLD. IM SO MAD AT MYSELF FOR NOT TRYING IT A WEEK EARLIER!!!!!!!!!!! ITS HOLD CTRL+L
Of course I do everything the same way, I even pause the video and make sure all the numbers everywhere are correct, I use the same assets and everything is identical except mine looks like shit XD
