What a beautiful market and everything seemed very affordable! Best part Trevor eating the “doll hair in a coconut wrap….”just weird”😂. Fun video guys thanks for taking us along! ~Cara 😊
Love food tour vids! You guys were able to try a lot of stuff this time. I’m going to need some waffles for sure. Glad you all are feeling better and having some dry spots in your days! ✌🏼
9:30 for roti saimai you can roll the pancake around the cotton candy like spring roll or just fold it like taco, up to you but usually thai people roll it like spring roll.
Kaokriab = crispy crackers/ WoW = kite , combined two words= Kite Crispy Cracker. Because of its shape is wide spread like a kite so it is named Crispy Kite Crackers 👍.
Great video! There was a sweet looking dress behind you @ 8:25 when you were talking about shopping and it just worked so well with what you were saying; I would have bought it for sure!
Hahaha Roti Sai Mai is actually my fav childhood snack. They are typically sold on street sides so my mum would buy them in our road trips. She would roll them up like a burrito and feed us. Its like cotton candy burrito. She also only buys the white one without color bc they could be using toxic cheap colorings back then😂😂😂
2:00 We called ข้าวเกรียบว่าว Kaw Kreab Waw (Crispy Rice kite, Kite cracker) coz the shape looks like kite (Waw say in Thai word) That's from my traditional Northeast of Thailand
Hi guys I’ve heard that those street markets are pretty cool there in Bangkok, the food looks pretty nice and not too expensive. It gets really busy with tourists as well.
Amazing, loved sharing this fun experience with you, never seen anything like some of those food dishes. I guess the pink “ hair” is lightly spun sugar (we call it candy floss here, who knows why, you wouldn’t want to clean your teeth with it!). As for the green discs?? Fascinating! Thanks as always guys 🤗
Everything there looked so delicious! sounds like it was a good idea to get food on a stick if there wasn't anywhere to sit down. The banana leaf packaging looked really nice as well. We'll have to remember be in Phuket on a Sunday whenever we're there next 😋
"Although there is tons of food to try" ... ahh .. looks like your tummies are alright again and ready for some extreme experiments .. that's nice .. good luck with the food! BTW there's such a saying - you are what you eat .. lol 🤘
Thanks for the video! I love seeing this as it gives ideas of what to try and what to avoid (will give the fairy floss tacos a miss I think!) I only have one Sunday in Phuket so I will try to make it there!
Never heard of RU-vidrs jumping places before but one of their videos popped up in my feed. Delightfully surprised to see the delightful traveller's in it.
Khao griab , they made from sticky rice flour, traditionally from northerner (Isan) My grandma used to Crushed sticky rice seeds into powder from scratch.
Trevor and Anna, if you ever go to kanchanaburi, try taking a cooking course from Apple’s Retreat by Apple & Noi. I Went there in 2008 and it was amazing to do the cooking class as well as sight see. So much to do ie The Bridge on the River Kwai etc. glad you had a great time in Phuket. Go scuba diving at Ko Phi Phi.
@@DelightfulTravellersChris and Carole usually post videos a week or two weeks late and so you are a few more days late from them? 😉 After I watched their video, I immediately checked your channel if you have your vlog of the reunion but you have not posted yet🤣
I e wTched d vlog of jimping places Nd u were with them 2 vlogs Dis u made d same vlog with them? Im so so happy to watched their vlog with u guys Iam Ur followers since d 4 of u were stranded in el nido Please take care
Loved this vlog! Glad to see it wasn't raining too! The BBQ sticks are so good! I was wondering if you were going to feature any stalls with fried bugs..LOL. I never saw those cotton candy tacos before. So strange! I hope you guys make it to a floating market. Those scream Thailand! I had a bowl of Pad Thai for 50 cents. Sautéed on a pan over a small burner on a boat!
You wrap the green wrapper around that pink sweet silky floss. A lot of sellers speak English and you didn't even ask? It's a kid's dessert and the price you paid was a tourist price for sure.
Lol..did you see the market? It was pretty chaotic! There were lines up everywhere so not really the opportunity to stand around and chat about how to properly eat it. But that’s half the fun and based on the comments most people enjoyed watching us figure it out 😂. Which it sounds like in the end we did correctly. Also, the prices are listed out front of the kiosks. This is definitely a tourist market and prices are higher (for everyone) than the local markets.
@@UrsuGonegirlSolo try the big hotels with secured premises. Grand Hyatt is one. It’s a big hotel, includes breakfast and the area is safe to walk around. I go for escorted package tours also if it’s my first time so everything is taken cared of and I don’t have to worry on accommodations and places to go. There’s usually a free day or two for you to walk around on your own. You make friends from your tour group. Anywhere not just in Thailand, as long as you are careful and aware of your surroundings, just walk with throngs of people and try not to stand out. Make sure you stick to tourist spots and use your common sense when walking around at night. I would see to it I go back to my hotel after dinner. Avoid being scammed like going into tour ride or tour places. Better to plan it ahead from legitimate tour sites.
Hello, you offer a lot of variety. I really like it It's very fun to watch. It's great. There are many more places in Thailand. waiting for you to travel you two are so cute
You have to take pro biotic to help with any stomach indigestion and it helps to balance normal flora bacterias in your gut. Take 10-20 billion at night esp. when you’re traveling and going to be eating street foods. Choose foods also that are cooked at the highest heat point like in a hot wok or in very hot grill. Just be careful on what you eat and drink.
Stoped the video after finding out that 30 baht for a piece of bread is "so cheap". Another privilegiated western couple with the "so cheap" type of travelling in their vocabulary. Please put a disclaimer in the video: vlog for westerner's budget. Thank you.
