Sadness, loss, pain, but ultimately a feeling strength, courage, optimism, and hope. There's real depth to the music here. Amazing album, a genuine work of art. I love it.
lol guts. I was literally listening to this kind of music, also Lustre, while reading Berserk. Atmospheric Black metal is nice. I can also recommend Eldamar - The Force of the Ancient Land
A very dear person showed this to me recently, because I had lost myself completely. Just wanted to thank you about making your music talk without lyrics.
imagine laying in your backyard, sunny weather, the grass is green, having a bucket with nice and cold beer, while laying in a hammock while blasting this from the porch..ah, that right there must be the closest to paradise you can come on earth
Love how this album ends with such a powerful uplifting atmosphere. Most end in the opposite manner but this leaves you feeling like you can conquer anything. After 7 months of listening to this and hundreds of others i believe this is my favorite album of its kind. AMAZING doesn't even describe how good it is
I can't shake how mindboggingly beautiful this album is. It really feels like hearing Mother Nature crying out in anguish over how us silly mortals keep abusing her... Astounding.
I'm driving with this on. in my minds eye I'm seeing the beautiful marsh and swamps I love. I'm seeing the estuaries that I fish. I'm seeing them as my grandfather saw them. I'm crying thinking of how they changed. this music is just so perfect for lamenting the land loss in Louisiana..... I love this music so much
I listen to all of your albums all the time, but for whatever reason, the songs on this one always catch my attention most when they come up. You really nailed it with this one.
oh my god, saw a comment from watching another bands song saying listen to Unreqvited and the song Disquiet, what an amazing track, the first scream from that song sent shivers tingling down my spine, such a journey of a track, then I listened to the album from start to finish, what an fantastic band, the album feels so atmospheric and emotional, a gem of a band
Another genuinely interesting band has appeared in the RU-vid suggestions, most recently in the form of Unreqvited. This album is definitely great, the final two compositions combined are what I enjoyed most. Thanks for making and sharing so much impressive music with everyone fortunate enough to find your channel 🎼 💙
Usually listened to this entire album while walking late at night along the river shore. Hearing the smooth and calm rhythm and singing always time move so much slower, seeming like you're feeling lost but not alone.
There's so much to this album. When I heard it on first release, it mirrored the vulnerable state I was in, but also mirrored the wildfire I let myself and everything/everyone else burn in. Now I can somehow hear the entire journey from there to here (now) and it's like it came full circle. Sometimes I want to go back to the burning, especially when this album takes me back, but at the same time it always beckons me forward. Beautiful album, moving, truly a masterpiece!
So much power and beauty in this song.. It is hitting my inner soul listening to it.. I have felt like screaming just like this because of life. Im so glad I had the chance to hear this song Thank You
Indeed like a waterfall. The river approaches its nearing end with haste. Soon commencing its dire descent into oblivion with the utmost _disquiet_ . Finally upon reaching full stop, it calms and drowns back into sleep - patiently awaiting its next awakening.
Very atmospheric! It's night here in the Netherlands and when I just gazed outside my window with this music playing, the whole world seemed beautiful dark and wonderful. Thank you for the amazing moment!
this is the sound and feeling I've been looking for in Forgotten Tomb, Make a change, Shining and all the other depressive/suicidal bands. closest must be Alcest with their album Souvenirs d'un Autre Monde. this is def a new personal favorite now
When the dark hangs low and tears flow down, there is nothing like going out to run, but to run as if it was the last race of your life. This is the feeling I get from this album.
This was the album I stumbled on first, on the second listen through I bought your discography. I recommend everyone who enjoys this do the same. Support the things you love
I enjoyed this. Reminded me a bit of Alcest but definitely sounds unique. Interesting that the whole album is posted here privately but not released yet.
I love the depressive and melancholic parts. I love dsbm. But this blends depressiveness and hope in a way that no one other does. A perfect match. A chef doesnt make make a good dish by only adding different flavours, he knows how its done in a perfect way. Like you. Cant find the same kind of music anywhere.
This is beautiful, I like to listen to your music and other atmospheric black metal bands when I travel through mountains and forests, it's like music out of this world.
was beautiful 6 years ago, is beautiful now. albums like these are few and far inbetween and when you find them.. god what I'd give to hear it for the first time again.
I supose one day someone had to dislike this album but I hate to be the man. The instrumental it's amazing it sounds very good but why, why is the yelling part all the time? I'm glad that people like it so it's just me... Is there any full instrumental version? Like violet cold-magic night. This sounds good but the screaming is too repetitive for me. It reminds me a bit like Lustre yet it fits different in my opinion. Anyway if 95%+ likes the album you're doing good :)
MulthybridGodKyrNair i was looking for a comment like this- lmfaoo i totally agree it sounds like it was kind of just randomly thrown in at the end of the recording to make it sound darker. Not bad instrumentals tho really sweet.
dude ur not the only one, and I think the same about Lustre, some beautiful orchestration and melodies, but ruined by hissy growly vocals. I would love more instrumental tracks too....
Wow, thank you so much! I think for the most part this record fits somewhere between atmospheric black metal, blackgaze, and depressive black metal. If you want something similar to this, I definitely recommend As The Stars by Woods of Desolation or Moonlover by Ghost Bath!
