Unresponsive turned Cardiac Arrest 

August 2020 - Initially dispatched as an unresponsive patient. As my fire department only responds to certain calls during COVID, I was unable to respond right away. As I listened to the dispatch information being provided, dispatch upgraded the call to a cardiac arrest. The initial EMS unit responding was the rapid response unit (Medic 23) with only one crew member (medic). Medic 32 was clearing from a previous call and responded from the hospital to assist. Ambulance 373 is from our sister EMS agency and had responded on the initial call. Medic 32 cancelled Ambulance 373 but Medic 23 had 373 continue due to 373 having a Lucas device. Unfortunately, the patient passed away.
