The Ivory Coast has about 550 km of coastline! We have a significant fishing industry both modern and traditional. It was wonderful taking Mark on a seafood voyage along the coast. So much good food.😋 🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮🇨🇮
I have always loved the Ivory Coast, but to see the different less known areas and the village presented so beautifully is really touching. Africa's most important resource and wealth are really the people. They are everything. That food represents culture and history, bringing everyone at one table and even eating from the same plate so peacefully and naturally. Love this 💖
There's more than just the US and Western Europe's point of views, just so you know. There has always been hope and good people/places in the World, but they don't reach the Mainstream Western media for many reasons.
Mark as an Ivorian and a long time follower I am very pleased to see that you made it to our beautiful and welcoming Ivory Coast. I am sure miss Zahui took great care of you as she did with us when we were in high school back then. Thank you for showing our rich and diverse culture. Ivorian are known for their hospitality and i am sure you will enjoy your stay and have a great time. You should come back for the African cup of nation in January 2024. Have a great stay.
Lahou Pkanda is actually my mother's village am so happy and proud that you showcase some of our food and culture as an ivorian am very please and greatful ... thank you Mark!!!!!!
Thank you for this video Mark. I was so drawn into this video, I caught myself trying to brush a fly from your plate!😂. I love how you teach us about the culture and showcase the people as well as the food. Videos like this make me so proud of my African heritage. 10 M subs well earned! Congrats and thank you!
Mark has reach a new level of respect from me. I can embrace all cultures but I was a bit surprised to see her eating off his plate. Mark didn’t flinch at all. I would have looked so confused. Mark you are truly amazing
She wasn't supposed to eat off his plate. He was having lunch in a maqui which is a local restaurant and this was his own plate. She could have asked for her or eaten from a paper they place on a table. I have no idea why she was eating off his individual plate. Mark handled it with grace and continued smiling.
Mark I’m so happy you’re back in Africa! Your videos got me through a traumatic and difficult period of Hyperemesis Gravidarium. Thank you so much for what you do. Also I love how kind and humble you are with everyone. Keep winning!
Mark you are doing wonders to promote the food of different countries and cultures. Hats off to you buddy and all the best for your future projects. God bless you and keep you and your family in his protection.
Here, patience isn't just a virtue - it's a recipe for an epic gastronomic saga where time stands still and the sea offers its best. A two-day simmering love culminates in a fish dish that dances on the palate, while Fufu delicately sways to the rhythm of palm oil. A feast not simply consumed, but experienced, evoking the soul of Cote d'Ivoire. Bon appétit! 🐟🌴
Mark really enjoys every bite of food all over the world, i can only imagine how fortunate to be feasting on diverse dishes is so amazing. Good job bro.
West African food is definitely one of my favourite foods to eat. West African people are also extremely friendly and countries in West Africa are so beautiful especially ivory Coast and Ghana. I love Mark he's so positive, friendly and always smiling. Just makes me feel like a pleasure to watch his videos. You definitely deserve 10M subscribers Mark. Thanks for such amazing content! 🤜🤛👌👌👍👍
American living in Africa....Also a follower of your channel. You are the most respectful food vlogger. This takes you far. I don't watch any other food vloggers. Thank you for your tact and humility. Great channel.
Love African soooo much!!! Thanks for taking us here, Mark. and congrats on the tremendous milestone - 10M!!! your tour guide seems so friendly! love that.
Mark does an excellent job of showing beautiful African peoples. Shame, when African animal videos are shown, they get millions of views, but when it's the people & culture not so much. Thank you, Mark Africa is Beautiful 🙌🏾
Attiéké is cassava semoulina it is a dish originating from my country the ivory coast🥰🇨🇮 and part of its very rich cultural identity. I am proud and happy that you enjoyed tasting this dish😋😋. You should also know that attiéké is by far the most consumed dish in ivory coast👍👍👍
Mark, I always look forward to your vids. I’ve been a huge fan for years. You’ve gotten me through a tough surgery in the past, and it’s such a joy to see you and hear you say, Hope you’re having a wonderful day. I even answer you…lol. Saying, Why yes, I am, thank you, Mark!
I have been here for the last 3 years. But this is the only RU-vid channel that educated me about the whole world culture. Mr. WIENS; may God bless you and your family, nothing else I could say now
Mark I'm sooo glad that you're exploring Mama Africa! I know that you went to school 🏫 in Kenya and you loved it there. Mama Africa is the second largest continent in the world! We Africans love to show our beautiful continent and culture! While you're on the west side of our beautiful continent, I asked that you visit Mama Liberia and get to learn her history and also get to enjoy her delicious foods! I promise you will be in for a treat!💯🥰🇱🇷
Mark is pleasant with a kind heart and pure spirit. I enjoy watching the videos and his interactions with different cultures, foods traditions and people around the world 🌎!!! Blessings 💞
First of all that food looks sooooooo Good ughh my mouth is water, and 2nd i Love the culture like everyone is family and shares food, I love seeing other culture share and eat with their hands like latin culture as well, living here in the west people thought we were weird eating most of our food with our hands and love embracing new cultures that share the same feeling and love!
So awesome that all the silly western eating etiquette goes out of the door! Finger eating and double-dipping all you want-what a great way to enjoy a meal!
I used to live in Ivory Coast back in 2002 before the war broke out. Even though I was in a small town call Danane it was so beautiful and the street food was good. But mark need to go to Liberia my country.
I have such an obsession with watching African food videos , especially with voice overs , unfortunately where I live , we don’t have any real authentic African cuisine but I look forward to visiting Africa one day and just completely indulging 🤤
@@saraha.2454 there are many West African restaurants in AZ. Just did a simple Google search "African restaurants in Arizona" and I am seeing Nigerian, Liberian, Beninese, Ethiopian, Arab etc so you are spoilt for choice lol. I wish I had this many near me. So far no Ivorian restaurants as no Ivorian has decided to take up the challenge of opening the first one 😀
@@saraha.2454there are a lot of Africans in the US and AZ in particular. If you befriend one there are good chances they would invite you to eat. We are very proud of our culture and food.
@@QueenyKay not where I live , we have two African restaurants here & the Africans don’t even eat there (they are not owned by Africans) 💀 and I have many African friends because they attend masque & university with me. If you recall Africa is quite a large continent and each countries cuisine is different. What’s wrong with me saving my first Experience with this beautiful cuisine for when I visit Africa ? Lol
What Mark is eating is called Attiéké femme (woman), there’s also Attiéke homme (man) which is called garba made with fried Tuna fish and the condiments are made different. Thank you for enjoying my countries food 🇨🇮.
Congratulations for your journey to 10 Million, Mark. Incredible!! I remember the first time I saw your video when you had come to India some 10 years back. I really wanted to do something like you were doing. You have truly inspired me. Millions to come! Cheers!!
Wow Mark, just wow. You never disappoint with your videos. The richness in quality and level of respect for every culture you come across is so admirable. Thank you for sharing
I'm amazed by your adventure exploring incredible seafood dishes in that remote village! Your vivid description of the crispy and soft fish with onions and chilies made my taste buds tingle. The onion sauce enhances the flavors even more. I can imagine the different textures and flavors of each fish you tried, from silky smooth to thick and rich. The journey to the remote village with its unique geography and diverse seafood offerings sounds unforgettable. The local delicacy "oh yeah" made from African catfish cooked for two days is fascinating! The dedication to traditional cooking methods and love for culinary creations by the locals are evident. The Fufu made from boiled plantains and palm oil sounds mouthwatering, and the delicate mashing and drizzle of fragrant palm oil add an artistic touch to the meal. Your excitement and appreciation for the delicious food and warm hospitality of the village people are palpable. Your journey brings the experience to life, and I feel like I was there with you on this food adventure. Thank you for sharing this amazing culinary exploration!
Mark, I nearly sent out a search party. Thank God you're safe. Have been waiting by the phone to congratulate you on 10 million subscribers. You are conquering the World. Well deserved to the best RU-vidr 🎊 👏
