idk it's a tiny bit annoying to me how she talks about school in the beginning, as if children had a chance to decide whether to go to school or be homeschooled :/ i do love her though
yeah i feel like everytime she talks about school she sounds ignorant kinda cuz some people really do struggle a lot cuz they didnt go to school or have a diploma
Can anyone tell me what is behind that curtain everyone is talking about...I'm new in knowing Billie and I'm dying to knowwww...or at least tell me in which interview she told what behind that...plssssss
I agree. My teacher made my class memories the states of mexico. I don't even like social studies. Someone please give me one good reason why i need to know this.
In a broader sense (without knowing the particulars of what course that was done in), you were made aware that a Nation-State such as Mexico is composed of smaller administrative regions called 'states'. And likely these 'states' are composed of even smaller administrative regions called 'counties'. So, if that was the case, as your education advances, as you experience the world moving forward in your life, you are 'aware' that such entities exist. And that knowledge, as an example of the geopolitical structure of a modern Nation, will aid you in understanding the likely set up of other countries - something you can compare and contrast. So as you travel, work in whatever profession you go into, that understanding goes with you. What they 'taught' you was a part of the 'framework' of how the world is organized, socially, politically, internationally. For example, say you were wanting to learn a second or third language. Knowing the various words in your language - a Nation-State (Mexico), a Federal State (Michoacan), etc, then makes it easier for you to learn and understand those terms in that second or third language (Ex. Nation-State (Deutschland aka Germany); Federal State (Bayern aka Bavaria); County (Landkreis). That is just one way learning that specific knowledge you had to learn by 'Rote Memorization' would help you later. Over time it makes a bit more sense... I hope that helps a bit. Just a wee bit... lol
