Congratulations on another superb, practical yacht in the 65, I'm still smitten with the 85, but this looks fantastic. Arksen's attention to technical detail is amazing and its ethos as a company getting people to experience the world they most times only glance at or exist in is inspiring. Keep up the good work!

So who’s gonna credit the Polynesians? I mean they were the FIRST to make a catamaran as far as we know. And honestly we would need to credit further back than that. There’s only so many shapes an efficient hull can be. To be so egotistical to think someone recent was the first to figure that out…..I think the aboriginals figured out a long narrow hill was more efficient.

These are some good looking boats. I like the look they are giving. But frankly I've got a thing for conversion of steel trawlers, tugs, and life boats. Especially if you get 1 originally designed for polar waters. That's a great explorer yacht.

Lazarette for keeping the toys, gear, diving equipment, etc? FPB 64 downfall was zero easily accessible aft storage space for toys. Even if you provide a tiny space it will be used. Having to get gear at the bow and drag it to the transom to be used is no bueno. Great canal boat though. 👍

Huge boat not to have that capability… Was thinking maybe if you extended the Flybridge hangover towards the stern you could store tender and equipment on the roof? Or just buy a boat which has these basics designed into it.

Been eagerly awaiting for the release of the 65 for a while. Unfortunately at that price point for the base it’s out of reach. However if you wanted to sling me a 75, I’d happily give over 100% of its use to your science program rather than just 10% 😂

Thank you for your comment. The priority of the design was to provide two large double cabins with 2m headroom throughout, whilst offering owners the option of a third compartment, that could be used to suit their individual needs. No two owners use their vessel in the same way, so this versatile arrangement allows a twin cabin, a study, a utility room, a lower-deck galley, or even just storage space.

I’m a private type of a person and if given the chance I’d like to just have a boat built for me and not be tethered by any commitments. When companies start to impose stuff like what was stated in this video, although honorable; I feel that it just turns people off! I also believe that there are plenty of people that feel the same way but just are scared to express these feelings! Fortunately I ain’t. Thanks but no thanks…..

I've been following this brand for a year now and was really excited for these explorer vessels... But every month that goes by I grow more skeptical of what they're actually doing. Their only finished products are rebranded XO boats and when they finally unveiled an Arksen 85, it looked like a retired naval vessel that did not match the quality of the renderings on their website. Why showcase such a barebones spec? And now this Arksen 65 unveiling doesn't even have a physical boat to present...just more renderings.🤔
@arksenprojects
@arksenprojects 2 месяца назад
Careful design and engineering takes time. Have you seen the Arksen 85 walk-through? It goes into great detail about the high specification and stunning interior. We know the exterior isn't for everyone which is why we offer a painted or wrapped finish. There are now two Arksen 85s on the water and the brand-new Discovery Series will be available for sea trials in August/September. We also look forward to inviting people to view one of the Arksen 85s later this year at her first public event. Walkthrough video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g3y_bdYplBg.html
@MiguelCedenoLozano
@MiguelCedenoLozano 2 месяца назад
@@arksenprojects I've seen the walkthrough. The interior was also pretty barebones compared to the lovely renderings that have been up on the site for a while. I think overall you might as well cater to premium customers. Everyone is poor now; only a small percentage of people can buy yachts. Unlike in the early 2000s which was a golden era for new entry level yacht buyers as there was a surplus of middle class boomers with enough money to get into cross ocean yachting. Now that buyer demographic doesn't exist at least in Western markets.
@davidandre8029
@davidandre8029 2 месяца назад
Wow, to say that Arksen doesn't make stylish, quality boats is very cheeky. The exterior appearance may seem crude, but that is exactly what differentiates this boat from the others. A functional boat to go around the world but which has all the comfort of a modern yacht.
@MiguelCedenoLozano
@MiguelCedenoLozano 2 месяца назад
@@davidandre8029 I never said that they don't make a stylish/functional boat, but rather that they chose to premier a barebones spec (inside and outside) after a year of hype. Even if it's just a Corolla, Toyota never puts the base model in the showroom floor. It's usually the fully loaded model. As for the quality, we won't know until there are genuine long term sea trials. All we know is that they're aluminum explorer yachts with a self righting capsizing design that has yet to be thoroughly tested and documented at least in the public eye.
@sirbuftontufton5846
@sirbuftontufton5846 2 месяца назад
@@MiguelCedenoLozano This isn't a $30K car, one of millions that will be built. The 85 is a $10M+ yacht that's built to custom requirements. Do you really think they could afford to build a showroom model to keep the RU-vid fantasists happy? The one model we've seen was built the way it was because that's how the customer ordered it.

Too much marketing blah blah, too much flattering to themselves, too little specs, too little details… Yeah gerat, you are Arksen. You make reliable boats. But instead of just claiming why not showing? Water tight bulkheads are the minimum. How about the steering? How many pumps? Can they run parallel? Thickness of the window glass? Thicknes of the hull? No. No convincing details, just the claim that Arksen is bulding great and safe boats (which are actually FPB knock-offs) 👎

@@GroppeljohannKlotenkempe-vr6oh That's great to hear. In response to your questions: The steering system is powered by two pumps; one AC and one DC, running in a standby/duty configuration. A hand-hydraulic helm pump is fitted at the main helm station, as backup and ultimately if all hydraulics were to fail, a manual tiller is provided. Window and door glazing thickness on the 65 varies between 8mm and 18mm, depending on the location onboard. Hull Thickness is 8mm below the waterline and 6mm topside.
