Idk how real any of that was, but best to believe it's all for the camera. They have to have some sort of build up of anticipation for the battle. I can't honestly say I would've watch the battle without seeing this first.

PAYNE is focused on the wrong things. His sponsor, coaches clothes, calling coach weird, being loud and seeming tough. A whole bunch of overcompensating. He clearly feels threatened so to prevent talking rap he tried to roast and punk coach. He got caught up tho because coach checked his temperature and he froze.
