I'm still iffy about the pricing, same goes for Gallery Department too; but at least they fit you hella well. The construction is nice regardless of the controversy.
@@jasonlee9762 Only thing that comes to mind is Maison Margiela Artisan Line, but they actually do something new and original. Major designer brands have their fashion house history to back up their price what does Unsoundrags have that justifies their price point? Ofcourse its none of my business what you buy, since its ur money but I have the right to clown anyone who is willingly spending 440 USD + shipping for some jeans fernando bought for 20 USD and just sew some patches and stitches on it :D
@@Ggnore69 they had a whole team of ppl who sourced vintage Levi's and only used 4 out of every 100 pairs they sorted through. deconstructed them, created and used custom hardware, and created a new whole silhouette: a flared pleated pair of denim. I'm okay with spending money on history but I also see why its priced where it's at. the labor and construction is more tangible than "history." vetements has done it and charged over 1k multiple times
@@jasonlee9762 Whole point of vetements is their satirical take on fashion that's why they are priced as they are. The fact that you are comparing those Jeans to vetements shows that you do not understand the whole message of the brand, and they are making fun of people with mindset like you willing to overpay for a garment. And just because you get a few friends who are interested in fashion to "source" used pair of old pants from Poshmark doesnt justify the "labour". I highly doubt they stitched and made those things themselves, they most likely just went to some local tailor or supplier for the labour, and they just mark up the price on the garment. Using fancy terminology and words like "deconstructing, Silhuette, Flaring, etc" does not make the product more valuable.
@@Ggnore69 bro u clearly didnt watch this video at all... just clicked on it to type a comment but if u watched u would have heard that these were made in an independent factory in Los Angeles run by Garrett Wilson of Marcell Everette. And although vetements is known for their irony, it just shows you the comparison between satire and actual time and sourcing put into a garment. other brands can get away with overpriced goods with wholesale fabric because its "satirical" or because of their "history" but a garment with hours of sourcing construction cant. basically ur whole argument is that they have no reputation or anything to give their brand credibility so it's worth clowning on. how are new brands supposed to take off if no one ever buys something from a brand that doesnt have "history" to it. just looking at it by the construction and garment stand-point is necessary for that to happen But if anything it took more effort to create these "used Levi's" than other margiela jeans because margiela used sheets of denim that they can cut out any shape from whereas these had to have been deconstructed and they had to work around the already cut shape of the garment and create their own reworked silhouette.
