I remember watching him at indoor state and he lapped second place in the 3200. He ran 13:50s at Detweiller too. He is very talented and it’s good to see him finally hitting his stride
U dont need sponsor for run ! I run 2.16 marathon with out to be fulltime runner or have sponsor for almost 20 years ago when we not have any vaporfly stuff 👍🏻💪
Look at some of these pro running teams that have individuals that aren't going anywhere, including this race, makes you realize that there's more to it than just 1 fast time.
Me - Watching a bunch of men running for their lives Commentator - "He's always the bridesmaid never the bride" 2:35 Me - ..... You know what? I hope he becomes the bride one day. He will. I know it.
He’s not bringing anyone down he’s simply stating a fact. There are many international level pro-races where guys go out through 800 meters in 1:53 and run 3:27 high to low 3:30s is very common in those meets. In many of those European races a guy runs 3:32 and finishes 12 place or something for Mens pro 1500 meter run. It’s serious fast stuff once you go on the international level. You need to be sub-3:30 to have a fighting chance at a win at those levels.
@@basehead617 Oh Ive heard pro commentary too for the US, you've gotta bring on Leigh Diffey to make it good. Meanwhile British and Australian amateur commentary is miles ahead of this steaming garbage.
uhhhh he's unsponsored lol, he's fast, faster than a lot of other 1500m sponsored athletes, he got 2nd at USA's. I mean you are right 3:33 is not the fastest time in the world when the top 5 in the world are running under 3:30 but we are talking about potential here, I mean he doesn't have a sponsor like bruh, and at the end of the day besides the fact that someone needs to give this guy contract, we could just possibly be seeing more of him in the future
3:33 world record 55 years ago and well before today's superspike advantage, too. Guarantee winner was wearing them. Everyone is shaving chunks of time off their PBs in last 2 years.
flotrack announcers are a joke. He didn’t have the time standard and they’re blaming the ranking system for him not making it? What logic does that hold?
I don’t thing you understand how the ranking system works lol they clearly say at the beginning of the video that being in college this year was the reason he didn’t make it
@@mitchellkremer3186 i understand how it works. it’s not the rankings fault. the rankings add an additional way to qualify. take away the rankings, he doesn’t qualify either because he doesn’t have the time standard. that’s where i don’t see the logic in blaming the ranking system
Just don't feel sorry for guys who don't have the qualifying standard...you can either run it or you can't pick a race, put your watch on and just click off the splits it's not rocket science. If you have any relationships you should be able to get someone to pace you through at least two or three laps. They said his PB was below standard so that tells you right there he just didn't have it. I would rather see someone who can run faster go represent us at worlds...but congrats to him hopefully he keeps improving and does better next year.
