These have some Historical Basis to them but are also based on a Tabletop Miniature War Game by Battlefront Miniatures in New Zealand called "Flames of War" as well as it's 1980's Period Based counterpart "Team Yankee". • Flames of War: • Germany: A Panzerkompanie (Tank Company) with 2 Tanks in the Company HQ (Panzer III G's for the Afrika Korps or Either Panzer IV G's or Panther A's for Europe) and up to 3 Platoons each with up to 4 or 5 Tanks (Panzer III G's and/or Panzer IV F²'s for the Afrika Korps or Panzer IV G's and/or Panther A's for Europe) and Support from up to 2 Platoons of Stug III G's. A Panzergrenadier Kompanie (Armored Infantry Company) with 2 Sd. Kfz. 251/1D Half-Tracks in the Company HQ (each carrying one of the 2 Three man Command Teams) and up to 3 Panzergrenadier Platoons each with 4 Sd. Kfz. 251/1D Half-Tracks (one carrying the Three Man Command Team and the other 3 each carrying a Squad of 9 Panzergrenadiers) and a Heavy Platoon with up to 7 Sd. Further Support for these Units are a Company from one to support the Other, a BMP Reconnaissance Company with 2 BMP-1's or BMP-2's, an Anti-Tank Group with 3 Storm Anti-Tank Guided Missile Carriers (using the AT-6 Spiral ATGM), an Artillery Battery with 3 or 6 2S3 Akatsiya (Acacia) Self-Propelled Artillery Vehicles, a Rocket Launcher Battery with 3 or 6 BM-21 Grad (Hail) Rocket Launcher Trucks, an an Anti-Aircraft Company with either 2 SA-13 "Gopher" SAM's or 2 2S6 Tunguska Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft Vehicles along with Air Support from 2 to 6 Sukhoi Su-17 "Fitter" or Su-25 "Frogfoot" Ground Attack Aircraft. I know that MTC 4 probably can't handle forces this Large (just by looking at it), but it would be Interesting if there was a Game Somewhere on the Internet where you could do this aside from Men of War: Assault Squad 2, Gates of Hell.
