Man Manu Ginobili is truly an outstanding player.
@JONIJOHNSON28

He sure is. Very competitive. He brings it every game. You never know what he's going to do on the court, and I love that about Ginobili, because win or lose, he gives it his all every game. I appreciate that about players, vs the indifference that some players have when it comes to consistently competing.

Funny how some people said the spurs is boring because they don't dunk. Just look at all the dunks by Kawhi, Joseph, Baynes, Maun, and put back dunks by Duncan, that dunk by Kawhi on Ibaka was like dunk of the playoff.
@sidgar1

Splitter got a hell of a lot of dunks too.

***** Sorry for such a late reply, but you're absolutely correct. I've said before that, schematically, the Thunder's offense is identical to the hapless Knicks, but they obviously coast on having way more talent. That shit won't get it done in the post-season.

This is the Spurs I love. Cutting, non-stop ball movement and 3s. Unfortunately, they went away from it. They now prefer Kawhi or LA iso. This is probably the reason their shooters like Danny Green and Mills couldn't find their rhythm easily.

Hey JohnRambo7910, I really love your work that you did here. I saw on one of the comments below that you were going to make one that includes winning the championship against the Heat, so I was thrilled to know that, seeing that there were awesome plays in that series too. I love and respect your work, although without the song would've been better, it just sounds like another teenage rock band group, which doesn't quite set the tone of the video. I did however love that music at the end. It set the perfect tone for reflecting back on some of the past teams that gave the same Spurs core a hard time. Also, to include to the Stockton/Malone Jazz, the Shaq/Kobe Lakers, and the Nowitzki/Finley/Nash Mavs, please include the 99-00 TrailBlazers, 01-02 Kings, 02-03 Nets, 04-05 Suns, 04-05 Pistons, 04-05 Sonics. I highly respect your work, thank you so much for compiling it together. I only post this b/c I love your work so much that I wanted to at least mention a couple of pointers. I'm 25 now, been a Spurs fan since I was 10, I still can't believe the same TD is playing at championship level today, and so many great championship-worthy teams that have come by and gone, and the Mavs still giving the Spurs a hard time even today. Thank you once again and I hope that you take this post with a little consideration, from Spurs fan to Spurs fan :) If not, then I still look forward to your next Spurs video :)

OMG....Such a long post....I am so flattered....I reaaaaally appreciate it. About the music, TBH, I have used up all the suitable songs I know, just came across that Wake Up in RU-vid. It is not an ideal song to me. However it has the tempo I need, fast and powerful, and the effect between the audio and video is not too bad, so I just keep it. I know someone does not like it, I totally understand. I choose the last song not only because it is beautiful and perfect for the emotion in that part, but also the word "Believe" in its title. About the opponents, since I hope to keep the last part short, the first two parts from 18 games are too long. So I just picked the teams used to eliminate us in the Playoff. I have been a spurs fan since 1998. I began to have the idea to make such mixes after SJAX returned in 2012, bcs their offense is so beautiful that somebody should record it. It is my dream to win the game by just passing the ball, and Spurs realize it. That is amazing and incredible. In this season, I finally got some time to make the mixes, for fun, and also for other Spurs fans like me. Again, really appreciate your support.

Heh - guess this is maybe one of those things that's the difference between an attached fan and a casual viewer( who incidentally in my case is very happy the Spurs won! ). I seem to be in the minority about that parting shot at the Thunder. Okay - so the Thunder arguably get a disproportionate number of call because of objective scientific reasons eyeball test. Even if one goes so far as to say the refs 'let themselves be convinced' by the stars selling fouls a more than average number of calls - compared to every other player who sells their fouls - that's still on the refs hands, not the players or coaches. No, I'm not trying to be a pedantic d**c, in all honesty, isn't it true that in any other context in life, 'spoiled babies and their dear daddies' is not a description one associates with somebody who's dragging their parents to the beach to put in work at fifteen years of age( Westbrook - when he was still too undersized to even be in the discussion of ever being anybody's top pick )? Or an all star league MVP who takes the opportunity of his MVP speech to dedicate at least a minute or two to thanking every member of team and organization for what they, specifically and individually, bring to the team and contribute to his development and success, acknowledge his own flaws, then speaks in detail of what his own mother went through and sacrificed while raising him? Or a coach taking time to tell his young team as the final minutes tick away on their 2012 title hopes that as much as it hurts, the Heat just beat them, 'fair and square' - a statement with which I suspect some here may disagree! 'Self-motivated' and a capacity to show genuine humility, and you will not convince me what Durant showed during his MVP speech was anything less, aren't exactly descriptions one usually associates with 'spoiled'. Quite the contrary, in fact. But then, I guess it takes a fan.... :P Having said that, the Spurs definitely made this a Finals for the ages, showing how basketball can be that 'other' beautiful game by playing it _like_ the 'beautiful game'. It was a series rich in narrative, in a way pitting two facets of 'America' against each other and one of those rare moments in sports that people are always watching for, only to most often come away slightly disappointed. It's the capstone in current team's legacy, and my even prove to landmark one era of league history from another, depending on what the rest of the league takes from it. Sigh - well, we can wish.
@JohnRambo7910
@JohnRambo7910 10 лет назад
When I was saying "spoiled", I did not mean that KD or RW was not humble. When they got difficulties on the court, what they did most was to yell at the ref. That is not what an MVP or a super star is supposed to do. This is my point.
@joellewis6086
@joellewis6086 10 лет назад
JohnRambo7910 lol Yeah, I know. Partly, I think it's selection bias, in the eye of the beholder. I also think it's a common bit of 'gamesmanship' in the league; let's be honest, I don't especially like or approve taking advantage of it, but I feel *awkward* saying players shouldn't use it. And yes, there is also some truth to the jab - and it's self-perpetuating; reward a competitor for taking advantage of some facet of the system, and they'll do it more - arguably harming even the players themselves. Which brings it back again to the officials. Keep in mind, anynody who doubts that Jordan was the greatest of all time is kindly invited to watch the d--n tape, widely available on RU-vid( especially, surprisingly enough, in his early years *before* his more muscular prime, when he looks like a d**ned human teleporter ), yet how did he talk to and what treatment did he get from the refs? Blame the system, as much as the players. Spurs just have one of their own, that seems to buffer against it pretty darn well. :-)
