Intersting but fact, perhaps you r the first person to make video on this historic Matmur Ditung where Matmur Jamoh hid himself from the Britishers after he assassinated Noel Williamson ( Assistant Political officer, Sadiya) on 31st March 1911 at Komsing Kumku (Still the inscriptions as an evidence on the murder of Noel Williamson is left on the spot by the Britishers on golden plate as well as engraved on stone plate too). But Matmur Jamoh was compelled by the villagers to get surrendered before the Britishers. He didn't conceal anything about his commission of the crime but admitted straight way that' Yes I Did It' for which he is believed to have ended his life at Kala Pani Cellular jail in Andaman & Nicobar Islands where the highest crimes of the country were punished during those governing days of British. In political angle also he seems to be a very influential person to lead the people in those days. His other accomplices were released and sent back somewhere from lakhimpur or Sadiya after every necessary investigation and clean sheets drawn from them. But his (MJ) was an another bold decission where he finally realised that for him only he didn't want the Britishers to torture the common villagers which he ultimately sacrificed his life for the wellbeing of villagers as well for posterity. Seeing at the courageous village people the Britishers became reluctant for their expansion in the region to explore the trade route further. Since tribal resistance movement as anti-colonial was also an integral part of freedom movement of India. Lenjing bhai, through you and your team we could also see deep into this historic mountain greatly known as Matmur Ditung. Jai Hind India, Jai hind NE, Jai Hind Arunachal.
I wish people like Matmur Jamoh and many more others who have been left out, also find mention in our History books. Honouring freedom fighters from every state creates greater unity among people of India. People from Every state fought for FREEDOM. Much respects to people of Arunachal and NE.
Completely agree and I am really happy that government is taking step and setting one museum in Mizoram and Manipur for our NE freedom fighter is first step towards this and I want to see their name in our history books too that will the first step towards United India and one India and it will also help in reducing racial behaviour too in our country towards out NE brother and sisters.
