Things are well underway with as we continue with "Unsung Week". This is a special double feature as we celebrate the late Barry White and what would have been his 59th birthday.
In this episode from 1992 (#687), he is joined by a special guest who was on the show, the late great Isaac Hayes as they are interviewed by Don and then they perform "Dark and Lovely (You Over There)" from Barry's "Put Me in Your Mix" album. Enjoy!

Barry looked so uncomfortable up there. This setting wasn't his norm, & the music was generic; not at all classic 70's Barry. His best years were at 20th Century Fox, but they got tired of funding the orchestra, Love Unlimited, etc, especialky when his albums stopped selling huge. I understand, but it was unfortunate.
