Beautiful, poignant, and dramatic performance. The right pace, the right accoustics, and the right balance between the different voices (neither too top-heavy, like many choirs, nor muddy in the lower voices), allow this wonderful piece to bloom and swell in our hearts

When my choir did that we were much more aggressive, I’m not used to this chill version, I like it.

I sang this in high school for Texas all-state choir in 1980. This is a beautiful performance, and it brought back memories.
