The multi million dollar game company is held back by corporate interests and constraints. Mods don’t have to deal with that, so they often turn out better.
that b*tch dev at mojang brings the excuse "they are endangered" like wtf does that have to do with a pixel 3d game? then they proceed to add endangered creatures anyways.
You know what I would love to see as a mod someday? A mod that only updates existing mobs to have behaviors more similar to this kind of mod and make them more intelligent in general. We've had so many mods that add new, intelligent mobs, and it leaves the old ones feeling kind of dumb.
I like using genetic animals alongside this mod when I play - doesn't exactly make them more 'intelligent', per say, but it does add more realistic models and a lot more variety and fun breeding mechanics :)
well jurassicraft is very high quality but it lacks variety. and jurassic world reborn adds a lot of high-quality mobs but i think it's glitchy. i personally like fossils and archaeology, but it's unfortunately stuck in 1.12.2 for now
I like the realism and attempt to educate on these animals with it's book full of info! I also like how different species in the same family still have different taming methods, like cougars wanting a different meat than tigers. Lastly, the use of the spyglass is a great idea
with the big update to cobblemon around the corner and now this I truly feel like Im back at 2013 when minecraft mods of insane quality would just drop all the time
great showcase! The best one i've seen for Untamed wilds, it was really needed because there aren't many good quality/good info showcases out there for UW!
I’m surprised elephants aren’t in the mod. I could see them coming in three variants, those being African elephant, Asian elephant, and woolly mammoth. And they’d spawn in savannas, jungles, and snowy tundra respectively. They can live in herds, and if one member of the herd is attacked, the whole herd will attack. Upon death, they can drop animal fat, tusks, and leather. But as a caveat, any elephant in the vicinity of the kill will attack you on sight. A play on the saying “An elephant never forgets”.
Loved the video @Noxus! Can't wait for the next video man! The two Fish that I'd gladly take and put in an Aquarium are the Catfish and the Triggerfish. When I was little, My parents and I had a Plecostomus (Catfish) more specifically it was a South American Chocolate Croaking Catfish. They're called that mainly because of their Chocolate Brown Coloring as well as the fact that they'll let you know when they're not happy by Croaking when you take them out of their Tanks in order to clean it. The Triggerfish is the State Fish of Hawai'i, which is where my parents went to for their honeymoon. They are also very Aggressive, especially when you come close to their Nests. I'm hoping that we get some more animals in this mod. Maybe we'll see Blue Jays, Northern Cardinals, Gambel's and California Quails, Bald Eagles, Greater Roadrunners, Northern Bobwhites, Northern Mockingbirds, Black Capped Chickadees, Baltimore Orioles, Western and Eastern Bluebirds and Meadowlarks, and even a Goldfinches and Cactus Wrens for the Birds, Capybara's to start off the Rodents which are the Largest of the Rodents as well as Raccoons, Moon Bears and Even some Fennec Foxes along with Nurse and Dusky Sharks. If I find a Piranha though, I'm getting the Hell outta dodge like I'm on a Piranha Panic commercial from the Early to Mid 2000's on Saturday Morning's LMAO!
Fookin' balls, man! Terror birds even. This reminds me a lot of the old Zulu mod, but damn, son this is some fine work. Very nice. I'm working first timer with ATM9 at the moment but I really have to try adding this. The very idea of having a pride of lions or a bunch of grizzlies patroling my lands is just too much to resist.
This is amazing, but biggest thing for me is that these animals retain their recognizable shapes while staying vanilla-styled. I’m so sick of mob mods that have way too much detail and just ruin the whole look
I love this mod dearly, however apon installing the mod has a tendency of overspawning certain mobs, turtles, catfish and snakes are a huge issue and cause lag from how much they spawn and I was forced to remove it, but I hope they’ve changed it since I last played
Im not sure if its me, im not paying attention enough, or if it's just how you do it, but you sound burnt out. Please don't push yourself to get these videos out and take your time and keep us updated on how you're doing. We love your content and it'd be a shame to see you working at your lowest.
This mod looks amazing. It's unfortunate it's only compatible with Forge and not set up for Fabric. Would've made a fantastic addition to my singleplayer world to make it feel more alive without making it feel cluttered. I used to play with Mo Creatures back in the day but I always thought it was a bit too much with all the mass amounts of creatures that felt like you couldn't go five steps without running into something dangerous. This mod truly looks like a good balance in terms of adding more wildlife but also making them act believable too. Also what shaderpack is that? It looks gorgeous!
I am doing that but honesty some you can not mix gender in the same enclosure or they will breed like crazy and lag out your world, you have to make 2x the enclosure for separate genders :C
Im kinda confused, is this mod available for fabric or just forge exclusive. The description says its for both fabric and forge but i can only find forge files?
This is amazing! I have always wanted Minecraft to add whales and lots of other sea creatures. Unfortunately OceanCraft isn't updated to the newest version but in the meantime this will be great!
Last time I used this mod it pretty much eradicated all other mobs. It made finding any of the vanilla mobs very difficult. Cows, pigs, chicken, sheep, squid; all became VERY rare in the world. Has that been fixed?
Hi! I know this question is a bit off the topic of the video, but how do you manage to record cinematics like those using Forge? I've been trying to find a compatible version of Replay mod for Forge but for some reason new blocks look broken while in replay mode, like the game replaces them with trapdoors and stuff like that
Is there a toggle to make these mobs respawn? I love everything about this except the fact that you can apparently clean an entire biome of its mobs and they'll never respawn again
@@TheCreepyPirateYou cannot deactivate mobs from Alex's mobs without breaking the progression of the mod. The Alex's Mobs mod is a journey to the edge of the world.
I think that if this came in vanilla they should remove farm animals from the wild and make villagers which would sell them to you. It would be complicated to make such mechanics but it would for sure he interesting to see that.
It does! though the only problem i find when you put biomes o plenty and this mod together is that the mobs spawn in places they aren't ment to. For example, lions or hyenas may spawn in snowy tundras while as snow leapords can spawn in purple forests but besides that bug the two mods work fine together.
this might sound a little strange, I play 1.19.4 and I was wondering if you were planning on making a version for it? I completely understand if you can’t. Thank you so much.
Can Minecraft get away from the "get your fortnite points for servers and pay coins to get new things" concept they started in 2020 and just revert back to the games original point...and when they finally decide to do that, can they also attempt to start giving a shit about adding things people have to make themselves.
