The 15th All Japan High School Band tournament in Yokohama 2013.11.9 Playing: Shijonawate Gakuen High School brass band Federation President Award 双頭の鷲の旗の下に / J.F.ワーグナー This video, it is recommended that you use the headphones.
Played at a steady 112mm. This is the "old" march tempo. Many modern marches are played at 120mm. This is more common today. However at 112 the feeling is different and the lines arre more defined
I'm from the Philippines. And I'm proud to say that I become one of our school band bell-lyre leader. This piece reminds of the days that we played in school, municipalities.
Wow, what an amazingly well rehearsed group of musicians! I can only imagine the hours of work that must have gone into making this as polished as it is!
Fantastic!! American from Southern U.S. Though this is big band my dad played this on guitar and mandolin. Played rhythm behind him at early age on guitar. So many great memories from your rendition. Thank you.
Oh my.....it's been 4 years since I've seen this. Thank you for reposting, I so love this group, but then ::::Poof:::: all their video's disappeared. Just a tight group with excellent instrumentation and players. A pleasure to see this back... Arigatou.
@@johnwaffleh2p70 ""Under the Double Eagle" (German: Unter dem Doppeladler), Op. 159, is an 1893 march composed by J.F. Wagner, an Austrian military music composer. The title is a reference to the double eagle in the coat of arms of Austria-Hungary."
Really a nice performance...maybe slightly too fast and it should be played staccato, as it is a march, I've played this piece far too often for my own, but anyway, you played awesome!
