Yo Jack! Greetings from your former section mate on the GMO in 1976! I think this is La Vie en Rose! You sound great. Hope you get back to work soon!

I found this recording with JACK Keeling. Is that you? www.discogs.com/The-Glenn-Miller-Orchestra-The-Direct-Disc-Sound-Of-The-Glenn-Miller-Orchestra/release/3973602 Didn't know about the recording, a year after I left. I only recognize a few names, Don Haviland - Gary Tole (my roommate on the band) - Dick Gerhart - Jimmy Henderson, of course. Your name rings a bell but did we play at the same time? My poor memory is based on the 75 and 76 tours in Japan which you weren't on looking at the programs from those years. Help me out here. I also saw that you were with Harry James in the 80's. Living in Florida? Still playing? I live in NJ outside Manhattan where I'd been playing the Broadway show CHICAGO for 18 years before the pandemic. It looks like we'll reopen in September.

@@jackstuck Hey man! No problem. I was on the band from Sept 76 - Jan 79. I played 2nd alto in the section with you-Richard-AG-Rich Perry at the end of your stay. 'moved over to lead when AG left. I think you & Rich Perry left at about the same time. I was on the band when Don Haviland came on & when he left. I don't blame you as my recollection fails me with some of the guys on the band at the end of my tenure. Yup, that's me on the Direct Disc. Yes, I live in FL & still play. Actually I've been playing (prior to the pandemic) Chicago on tour throughout FL at some point in the season for the better part of 20 years from Jacksonville down to Naples, usually on the 1st book, but I've done the 2nd w/that nasty piccolo stuff a few times, too. Great to see & hear you. 'hope you get back to work soon (I'm sure it can't be soon enough). keeling_jack@yahoo.com
