Benjamin Strelnick or Ben was diving with a fellow coworker on May 26th at Jackson Blue Cave in Marina Florida when they decided to follow an established guideline that was tucked away off the main route. Neither diver had ever entered this section of the cave before, and their curiosity was certainly stronger than their fear. But this one line.. Would change their fate forever… and have a lasting impact on the cave diving community.. This is Ben’s story….

Some caves you have to silt up the place and have 0 visibility, that's not a reason to call the dive neither is a tight space. The reason to call the dive is because your an untrained noob who has 0 experience cave diving, no certification, and no clue about what your doing. Real cave divers can blow through 0 vis and tight crawls with no issue, regular divers thinking theyre cave divers will have many issues potentially fatal ones. But ultimately yes, they should've called the dive even though they shouldn't be diving there in the first place, just so sad and so unneeded. Training is available to everyone, but some think it's "unnecessary" and this is what happens.

Yeah man but what you don't read about is millions of dives that have taken place with zero problems😂. I mean thousands of people live in the caves of Florida every single day. I'd Imagine when you compare the fatalities to other recreational activities it's most likely the safest one there is to do😂. These guys aren't risk-takers. Everything is about safety and redundancy. Most of the fatalities that you hear of are people that were in too deep😮 pardon the pun😅. They were people who did not have the proper training or equipment to be diving in a cave. They had no business being there. So when you actually count only the fatalities of certified cave divers who perished on the dive It's a very small number . And most of those were guys who were pushing the limit too hard and it pushed back .
