Very interesting video! The spinning wheel reminded me of my grandmother. She talked about using a spinning wheel and traveling by covered wagon. She lived to see Neil Armstrong walk on the moon. That's a lot of change in one lifetime.

Tremendous 👍 That house and the owner - clearly it tells us the story about the power of objects and memories ... and whoever lived there found it too painful to let go - all part of the human psyche - letting go of things, emotions and memories ! Whoever lived there - couldn't ...

Thank you for this wonderful video. I would never recommend removing anything from any of the homes. But it is a shame to see all the great stuff that the families could donate to museum's. On top of what others are talking about those quilts rolled on the bed were probably hand sewn. I donated all of my families to a quilters guild. With who made them and show them all over our State. Its just a shame but please never stop recording for us.... :) thank you again...so much fun.

This house is a jackpot! Many items all throughout this place is worth money. The owners were collectors over the years. The Bible itself is worth a lot at least here in the states and that spinning wheel also. Maybe if any family members happens to see this video maybe they will be able to claim these items and pass it down through their families. Instead having these things to waste away along with the house.

at first i thought you were going to miss the little drawers on the green cabinet. It was SO beautiful--I love it too! The patina was amazing and I loved how the green was worn off around the handle on the spoon drawer because they used the spoons the most for their tea,obviously! I feel like sometimes when looking through your camera you dont "see" what you're looking at and therefore dont explore it further. Your camera work has improved GREATLY since your 2017 videos though! If being rich means buying a ton of things and lettint them rot, though, I guess I dont want to be rich. I thought hoarding was a uniquely American thing but I guess not. Very sad all that good, brand new stuff going to waste. Maybe someone who won a lottery and realized all that stuff didnt make them happy.

Awesome found. They are lucky they had such humble visitor as you. Most would have taken retro stuff, Arabia dishes and much other things with them. Could have been someone who bought stuff and sold it in internet. House seemed weirdly undecorated seeing that so much valuables left, so why would they have taken furnitures… Lot's of things to think :) Thank you for the video. I just started watching your channel. Jatka samaan malliin ^^

That was one amazing find! Wow, how I would love to explore that place, looks like it is a old log house, and that hoarders lived there, some of the stuff looks very expensive, they must have had money to buy all the things you saw and found, so interesting, hope you will do another video of the big barn, it too might be full of interesting antiques, just never know, your videos are getting more amazing all the time if that is possible, love them all. You do such a great job explaining all of them as you go along, great job, have a wonderful Easter holiday Antii,stay safe and healthy, looking forward to the next one you post, love and hugs.

Good notice! Maybe some "slow" project. Fixing up for retirement days and not in a hurry? Or going to sell it later? Normally that kind of clock battery last year or two.
@5000Kone
@5000Kone 5 лет назад
@Lucy Heartfilia I bet that is not a plugin clock. Where did you get that electricity is on? I did not see any hints of that on this video. Also if the electricity would be on means that somebody is paying that real estate's electricity bill. In Finland this would mean normally every three months or in some rare cases max 6 months. I bet that the house is an estate and that somebody is fixing and emptying the house slowly for sale or for use. Maybe only for summer use. The mouse droppings etc. could be just from last winter. The cold box with electronic cord etc. and the renovations suggest this strongly. This house, in fact, looks quite much like a house that is often nowadays on Finnish house markets The roof also looks quite lately renovated. Also, you can see old footsteps on the snow on the first frame.

There is so much stuff imagine what you could find up there ? at 24:27 some nice jackets some look new not like the usual crap you find but what was really interesting was 2 black cases one at 18:24 & the one probably filled with Cash at 19:41!! Love your videos. Your English is very good, love it. Have all the Fins moved to the cities or what is the reason for the people just leaving?
@mariaenroth7058
@mariaenroth7058 5 лет назад
Generally speaking the countryside started getting quieter in the seventies-eighties when people moved to bigger cities or even other countries for work. Now is another silence wave going on because old people who used to make a living from farming and then retired to live on their old farm need help in their daily chores so they have to move out. What's left are the relatives who doesn't know what to do with the place. But yeah, it (the countryside getting quieter) has become a problem in some areas in Finland because people moving away affects so many things.

It's obvious at least half if not the two thirds of all you stumbled upon in this house didn't belong to the owner(s). Maybe hoarders made their way in or neighbors threw their own disused stuff in it, either way they didn't forgot to ransack the house from top to bottom first.
