It turns out that being far from everywhere doesn't make the trout easy - but with some careful tactics which I share you, you can see how huge wilderness brown trout can make it to the net. The day couldn't get much better but still manages to shift up a level with an exciting packraft out.
New Zealand is world renowned for stunning scenery and epic sight fishing and this adventure doesn't disappoint. It's late in the season so conditions for fly fishing are challenging in the gin clear river but finding feeding fish delivers some stunning eats and an incredible adventure.
