This unused dialogue has been known about for quite a long time, I just thought it'd be interesting to check it out in-game. --- Join my Discord ► / discord Follow me on Twitter ► / fatguy703yt Support me on Patreon ► / fatguy703
Rawk Hawk: What did you say, PUNK!? Koops: *No Message [English]* Damn are we sure this is Koops and not Carbon, only he would say something so despicable
I might have to start actively use her from now on. Cause that line was pretty funny for me. I rarely ever use her cause I find everyone does a better job 90% of the time.
DolphinsAreEvil with this unused dialogue I wonder if Mowz has any specific dialogue if she was made your party member by the start of chapter 4? Cause after chapter 3 you never see her again unless you do her side quest. Her slap attack is beneficial against buzzy beetles and hyper clefts and she does decent damage at start. Plus if upgraded immediately she gets tease ability that confuses foes which is effective on flying opponents like boos and swoopers. Yet you gain access to her quest post chapter 4, and once halfway through you can’t return to rougeport till chapter completion.
Being called a *No messages [English]* has to be worse than being called "Chicken Sperm." And I'm sure the Armored Harriers were quite *_blown away_* from having their impenetrable defenses be nullified.
For those who don't know, book of Mario is paper Mario, transacted with google translate from english, to several languages and back to english. It's made by fatguy, who made this video
Nintendo Employee 1: "Hey boss, we've almost finished all the partners' dialogue for the cutscene after Mario beats the Armored Harriers. What's up next?" Nintendo Employee 2: "Very good. Next we'll work on..." Nintendo Employee 3: "Hey guys, I just realized something. Since only Yoshi can kill The Armored Harriers... why work on and implement dialogue that no one will ever see?" Nintendo Employees 1 and 2: "...." Nintendo Employee 1: "... so I've got one more piece of dialogue for Koops for the cutscene." Nintendo Employee 2: "Scrap it, no one will ever see any of this."
I like to imagine Koops just like, got really fucking nervous, cracked under the pressure and just like signed out of his brain for a minute there, leaving his only response to be *NO MESSAGES [ENGLISH]*
To answer this, I typed the message in Somali and translated *No messages. [English]* from Somali to English and back 5 times. Here's what I got: *No messages are in English* Implying that all messages are in any language except English. From that point, it didn't seem to change anymore. I tried Albanian after this, but nothing changed. I could try more languages (basically EVERY language, if possible), though. EDIT: Alright, tried translating *No messages are in English* into Greek and back to English and here's what I got: *Don't wait for anything* . EDIT 2: Whoopsies! That was from Esperanto to Greek after the language was changed from Esperanto to English while the text was still in Esperanto. Translated it properly now. It actually says: *There are no messages in English* . Just a slightly different version of *No messages are in English* .
3:19 the Koops dialogue here isn't actually unfinished - it exists in the game's files, but it doesn't appear because of a typo (the code preceding it is missing an underscore). the message is simply "Mario! You were right! This Crystal Star... is a fake!!" i'm sure most everyone here has seen the video i got this info from, but in case you haven't - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fFpeBlu191M.htmlm20s
This video was cool! Always nice to see more of our favorite group of weirdos that follow mario around also maybe its just my headphones, but why is Rawk Hawk SO LOUD??
Koops: “well maybe we’d have the crystal star already if it wasn’t a fake on No Message [English]!” Rawk Hawk: “what did you say, punk?!” Koops: “NO. MESSAGES. [ENGLISH]!”
@@Gordon_the_one_Freeman I figured.. I hoped maybe some of them would unexpectedly have dialogue, spurring a discussion on early alpha chapter order or something!
