I think that's the joke in the clip. Being excited about nothing, sleeping when the action happens. If you look closely, he "shuts down" even before the rollercoaster even fully starts. Most people pass out either because of the G-forces (not given here due to the timing) or nervousness (which would happen more gradually and should have been noticable already at the start) Yes, I'm fun at parties.
